Dr. Martin Morell, MD

I have been a patient of Dr. Morell for 20+ years. I have written some reviews about my experience with Dr. Morell. He has helped me in so many ways that it's hard to focus on one thing! Dr. Morell shows so much care and concern and puts so much effort into his profession. But I would like to share with everyone and to express my gratitude for his kindness and concern about the problems I have experienced over the past 10 years. I will try to keep this short and to the point but it's hard. Ten years ago, I went through a traumatic experience that I will never be able to recover, physically, from. I was hit by a car while crossing the street. The accident was extremely severe. Along with my Rheumatoid Arthritis I now have several other damages done to my body. One time, in particular, while talking with him about spinal surgery I began, as usual, to tear up. I jokingly asked him how much he would charge to be a psychologist. He the looked at me and said, "I'll be right back"! A second… later he came back into the room with a lady I'd never met before. With much pride in his eyes and a smile he said, "this is my wife"! I was totally stunned. Why? I, honestly, did not know what to think! Then he turned around and said, "I'll be right back"! She introduced herself sat down and began to chat with me about my emotional problems!!! Who does that? I felt truly honored that my arthritis Dr, Dr. Morell, would step outside of his medical profession to give to give some support to my personal emotional problems that had nothing to do with arthritis! Who does that? Not only was I stunned I was, even more so, honored! I mean this beautiful woman, the Dr.'s wife, would even enough care enough to spend her personal time with me. The time she spent with me, allowing me to air out a few problems along with many tears really truly means a lot! She really listened to me and gave me some advice that was beneficial. And wait, it doesn't stop there! On my last visit I was unaware that he had moved to another location! I never keep up with messages. So, when I was dropped off at the other office and found he was no longer located there I immediately called his office. I had explained the situation and because I didn't have a ride to his new office, his wife, yes, again his wife, took the time to come and get me so that I could keep my appointment!!! Again...Who does that? After the visit with Dr. Morell, they arranged for the Uber to pick me up and she then because of the accident my balance is quiet off, she walked me to the cab!!! Not only is it hard for me to process all that they both have done for me I also feel honored that a Dr. would put their profession aside that far so as to help an individual with something that didn't involve his work! All I can say is Thank you Dr. and Mrs. Morell for all the kindness and care you have given to me! I will always be proud, confident and grateful to have you as my Dr.. Well, I will end here. Never been dismissed so badly. He claimed my Lupus diagnoses and RA were both wrong. He could and did not do anything to see what else could be wrong. My hands are so bad I can barely write my name. Every joint in body is swollen and in excruciating pain. Charged a 40 dollar copays. Was condescending and did zero to help me. He should drop his ego and actually help. Waist of my time and and limited energy. He also tried to say my CRPS is wrong also.

I believe that he is a competent physician but does not really care about the patient. He spends at the most 2 to 3 minutes with me and appears annoyed when I ask a question. Would not go to him but the other rheumatologists in the area are worse.

IN A FULL BLOWN FLARE,AND CAN'T FIND YOUR #NUMBER

When I went to him a couple of times he laughed and said "Nobody can help you." What kind of a doctor says that to a patient. Hasn't helped me at all.

HE IS VER Y COMPASSIONET AND I MISS HIM TERRIBLY, I HAD TO GO TO FIDELIS WHICH IS VERY GOOD INSURANCE FOR ME AND I CANT HAVE DR,, ANYMORE ,I WISH HE COULD TAKE FIDELIS, MY PAIN AND NERVES IS OFF THER WALL, HE WOULD ALWAYS HELP ME NOBODY LIKE HIM GOD BLESS HIM AND ALSO THR GREATEST STAFF

The office is trying to build a better patient service team around patient feedback. Extra staff has been hired to assist in answering the phones in a timely manner and returning calls when needed. Laptops have been added, so Dr. Morell and the staff can access patient records wherever they are in the office. They will be able to review records before entering the exam rooms and have access to the patient records at their fingertips while working with a patient. The office is working hard to gain your trust and provide a great patient experience, and provide excellent medical care.

Been a patient with Dr. Morell for total 13 yrs. I have never had more care, more concern, more compassion from any other Dr. involving same area. Not only does he hear what I've said but even more so he listens! And for that I say "thank you & God Bless you and your fabulous staff".

A bad experience. Good one visit- Listening and responding. Another visit not listening to me, or explaining his decisions about my care. He said one thing at an appointment then specifically denied saying it when he wrote his report. Not sure what is going on there but sorry I ever got tangled up with this practice.

Terrible bedside manner. Didn't have insurance at the time I visited him. It cost me 200$ can and he spent 15 seconds with me. Gave me a shot that never worked because it was the wrong muscle. No followup, no information on what the shot contained, side effects, nothing.
