Dr. Martin Neil Rifkin, MD

This doctor is a horrible person and should be relieved of his duties as a doctor. He wouldn’t even see me because he “didn’t want to deal with it” this doctor should be fired immediately.

Dr. Rifkin is a competent, upbeat, intelligent urologist who really knows his business. He listens, analyzes extremely well, makes recommendations that are sound and right on target, and follows up as needed. He takes his time, and this causes a little longer wait time in the waiting room, but it is certainly worth it! My wife and I always feel confident that we have the very best urologist in the area, one who was recommended over 10 years ago by our primary care physician and my wife rheumatologist. He has literally saved my life! He moves around quickly and talks pretty fast sometimes, but that is just his nature. It doesn’t mean that he isn’t focused and placing all of the information into his very very smart brain and making sound decisions. We appreciate him and respect him to the highest degree!

Not that my appointment was made in a hurry ... Dr Rifkin is no doubt good at what he does. But the experience leaves something to be desired. His assistant seems mad at the world and vocal about the hours she has to work. At each visit, the doctor pops in for a three-minute whirlwind face-to-face, then asks if you have questions with one hand on the doorknob. Answers are short, followed by "what else?" which translates to "hurry up so I can go." Did my surgery and even with odd things afterward, he said "that's normal." I take his word for it. Post-op visit he said all is well, gave instructions like a legal disclaimer at the end of a radio ad, and provided no papers at all for what I was supposed to do. I'm winging it on my own. Next time I might just look for a different doctor. He's probably a nice guy, and he probably lives in a nice house with a nice car, but my experience at his office leaves a lot to be desired.

Dr. Rifkins is an easy person to understand and makes you feel comfortable during a very uncomfortable time in your life! I could not say enough good things about him and his staff!

What a kind,caring Dr. Would never want to change to another in his field!

I have been there a few times and the last time he detected that I had possibly bladder cancer, he took samples and low and behold it was(stage one) He removed the spots from the bladder and took another sample two weeks later and I was clear of all. THANK YOU DR. RIFKIN.

This doctor definitely is not a fan of women. His bedside manner is as bad as his treatment plans. He doesn't answer questions directly and becomes uncomfortable when you become confused.. He become irritated and shocked when you question his plan of treatment. Very quick to put decisions off onto other doctors.

I think Dr. Rifken is an excellent doctor.

I used to work with Dr Rifkin in the O.R. and he truly cares about his patients. He is also my Urologist.
