Waste of time and money . Don’t you dear to go to his office . He is a nut , creepy .I was there for four hours and it was very unpleasant.

I see people mind the long waiting times and long exam, but the latter is appropriate for the importance of one's vision, and shortcuts miss things. I know this as a retired physician. Take glaucoma; you can have normal pressure glaucoma. Visual field exam is needed for detection of that.Visual fields take extra time. I don't mind the wait because i always have reading material for my own research and studies. The questions he asks about other health areas are useful. That's part of the thoroughness they teach every medical student. He suggested a specialist for my sleep apnea who made a big improvement over my prior care.

Made an appointment with Dr. Weinberg following weeks of lingering redness/dryness in my eyes after a cold. I couldn't get in with my normal ophthalmologist and no other doctors had time, so I went with Dr. Weinberg. This was a mistake. There are many negatives to address (most of which have already been addressed in other comments on Vitals.com), but I'll focus on the greatest hits and on confirming many of the other concerns expressed by other patients. 1. Timing His appointments go longer than you'd probably like. He might tell you that he needs an hour to two hours for an appointment, and he means it. Worse yet: he will likely take longer than that. 2. Personal Info He will likely ask questions that go beyond the scope of ophthalmology. He calls it "good medicine," but I found it to be a bit invasive. He does not respond well to any response beyond the response that he wants. 3. Reason For Visit Regardless of what you are seeing him for, he will likely plan on… doing as much as possible. Dry eyes? Just need eye drops? He will want to do way more. Even if you don't need an eyeglass prescription, he will stress that you have to do one anyway. 4. Unnecessary Information He's going to tell you all about his kids and his 100+-year-old mother. Whether you like it or not, he will tell you about his professional experience and his wall of diplomas. 5. Unprofessional Tendencies During my 2+ hour "adventure," he took at least 5 calls on his iPhone and at least 3 calls on his office phone. He also takes many coffee breaks, so be ready for that. The office is a mess and that is a real trigger for him...I told him that I was unhappy that he was taking so long with the appointment and he immediately became defensive, asking if it was the office that led me to feel that way. If you like his method(s) and over-the-top thorough approach to ophthalmology, enjoy. If you value your time and your health, might be best to find another option.

This guy is crazy no one needs a 3 hour eye exam. And no one can tell me that only one man can make glasses for his patients. The office is a mess and he is a nut
