Dr. Martyn D Gordon, MD

Dr. Gordon is the kindest, most caring doctor I have worked with. He has decades of experience and is thoroughly familiar with all of the latest medical advances. I have some experience with this since I a am doctor and I'm on the faculty at UT Southwestern Medical School. There isn't a better doctor in the state.

My husband and I are both patients of Dr. Gordon, and up until today we really liked him, but after today's appointment we are appalled. My husband had an appointment today to review his ultrasound results from 2 weeks ago. After getting checked in, my husband asked about the results and the nurse claimed the results were never received. She then went to go call them and said no one answered so she left them a message. Then BOTH SHE AND THE DOCTOR WENT TO LUNCH, leaving my husband in the room with no instructions or any sort of follow up. The poor lab technician tried to track them down but couldn't do anything, so my husband just had to leave. We're now waiting for someone from the office to hopefully call us back and possibly reschedule. The best part? The results are concerning whether he has a life threatening illness! I still cannot believe that they just left without any answers or asking for a follow up appointment. Completely unacceptable and unprofessional!

This dr and practice is horrible. I have good insurance that covers annual wellness visits and lab work at 100%. This practice insisted on charging me a $25 copay which they were not entitled to and I should not have paid. Because they refused to designate the visit as “annual wellness”, they also billed me for lab work which my insurance would have covered at 100%.

Dr. Gordon's staff is very rude his nurse called me to ask me how to complete my FMLA paperwork. I told I did not know and she told me she did not know that I would have to schedule an appointment to discuss completing my FMLA paperwork! I should not have to spend another co pay to discuss paperwork that the office should know how to complete. If his nurse does not like being a nurse she needs to find another PROFESSION!

Dr. Gordon has been my doctor for almost 20 years. I trust him. He is cautious to diagnose quickly, and asks lots of questions before determining the next step. He is serious about obtaining results.My only knock on this office is that those who call with doctor's instructions do not seem well-qualified to respond to questions about the instructions. They seem more eager to get off the phone and check off their call list than to deal with exactness in matters of the doctor's instructions.However, though this problem can be frustrating, they do a great job overall, and Dr. Gordon spends enough time with me one-on-one that I can get the information straight from his mouth as many times as it takes to get it right. He's very patient.
