Dr. Marvin Mcgowan, DO

I've been going to central outreach for 3-4 years now and this dude thought I was a trans woman on estrogen (I am a trans man) despite him being my primary doctor. I feel there is no doctor-patient relationship, he's just there to tick off boxes and get his salary. He also strictly believes in BMI which is fake science rooted in racism. If you go to central outreach please ask for a different doctor, it'll make so much of a difference.

Has consistently gone against other doctors findings. My last visit netted me 8 words, and slamming a paper down and storming out.

I really liked this doctor when I first went to him. i went to him for my comp case. He told me that he was totally on my side! When it came down to it he lied and told the attorney for the comp case that I never came to appointments and that I didn't follow his direction that I didn't finish my physical therphy when he knew it was making my condition worst. He also said I didn't do my follow up visits and I did ever time. I can't believe the lies he told. I have always went to appointment no matter when I have them. Why so many lies??? I never thought he would lie Why does the clinic keep this kind of a doctor? This is not a doctor I would advise my friend to go too I know of four other people that feel the same way as I do and will never go back to him. I will never go back to him for anything.The bad part was I was going to use him as my PCP I liked him that much in the beginning then for him to lie so much I am glad I didn't change to this doctor!!!!! Not a good doctor if he… can't tell the truth you should be able to trust a doctor!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Very disappointed!!!!!

Bottom line: Not one of the reviewers state why they were visiting Dr. McGowan or explained the circumstances. The patients probably had issues with drug abuse, criminal activity, malingering, etc. thereby wasting the doctor's time. I'd be upset too.. This doctor is actually quite awesome.

I have never in my life been talked to like i was that day!!!!!! he is the Rudest doctor i have ever encountered!!!!Yelled at me from other end of hallway!!! Please stay away from this doctor far away!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Horrible bed-side manner and mean to the helpless. Doubtful and hurtful with his mouth.

He is one of the few doctors in the area who listens, provides a thorough exam and takes time to explain your problems, treatment and tests.
