Dr. Marvin Jerome Schwarz, MD

Dr.Schwarz had me locked in isolation when I was a teenager. He would kick me in the head and tell the other patients that I sold my @ for nickels and dimes. H was verbally and physically abusive. He put me on a high dose of Stellazine and I could barely function. The only reason I got away from him was because my family insurance ran out. I was his patient for 3 months. I hear he’s dead now. Good riddance evil man.

I was victim of sadly misguided parents buy in to “tough love” Movement which was quite poplular in wealthy suburbs with parents who had excellent insurance circa 1982. I did not have a major mental health diagnosis and did not abuse drugs. I was a moderately rebellious teen who pushed limits beyond 11pm weekend curfew w clean cut friends and smoked cigarettes while maintaining perfect attendance and straight As in high school. Thank you Dr Marvin schwarz for absentee “running” charter barclay hospital locked unit where your psychiatrist employee Judith Stowe MD spent 1-2 mins per patient 1x per week “rounding” through approx 35 teens in 15 double bed rooms Very conveniently just before lights out. And thank you for your 2 largely absentee staff “psychologists” I was assigned Larry Heindrich, who held a BA in psychology and spent similar quality time of approx 5 mins w me 1x per week. Fast forward 15 Years to my ultimate diagnosis with caring board certified psychiatrist… and psychologist where diagnosis of adhd and anxiety were crystal clear. Dr Marvin Schwartz, How did your charter barclay team manage to miss those diagnosis? Oh, right, because in 20 days I received less than 40 minutes of total professional care from your disinterested Associates in Adolescent Psychiatry employees. My parents excellent Blue cross insurance paid you approx $1.2k per day in 1982 dollars for complete incompetence and a diagnosis that I was “benignly” narcissistic-a throw away diagnosis requiring no actual effort by your team

At 11 he hospitalized me . she kept me in psych WATER FOR YEARS. came in at 5 am to " see" me..id be asleep we never had ANY PSYCHOTHERAPY. he used up all of my insurance, and dumped me in Dunning. State hospital at 14. From being in psych ward for 3 years at the most formative time ..adolescence... I came out and was unable to socialize.i still have mental problems from isolation in adolescence, today ..i was smoking a cigarette.. my Mom would bring me cigs in the hospital...Schwarz threw me in the Q R ( solitary con finement) for A MONTH AND A HALF.. I WAS 13 YEARS OLD!

I was a patient of Dr. Schwartz's as a teenager. Throughout my treatment, he consistently lied to me, manipulated me, and freely prescribed me meds that i did not need. The psychological damage that he inflicted on all of his young patients is staggering. He said sexually explicit things to all his patients and then fell asleep in all his sessions. This man is dangerous and I cannot believe he's been allowed to practice for all these years.

I will see this doctor again. He was very helpful and I would recommend him to a frienc
