At 59 I was diagnosed with Breast cancer. I was devastated and my oncologist recommended a double mastectomy. She recommended a plastic surgeon would assist her-with the process of reconstruction. After two surgeries I was devastated with the results. I decided to get a second opinion from an oncologist when she examined me she could see that things weren’t right. That is when she recompensed Dr. Marvin Spann. I was terrified I was afraid he was not gonna be able to help me, during the examination he saw the sadness in my eyes and said I can do this in two or three surgeries. I am going to be 62 and I can finally look in the mirror and smile. Dr. Spann thank you for changing my life! You are an amazing surgeon and I wish I had you during my initial surgery.

I have been coming to Dr. Marvin Spann for 10 years now. He was the first surgeon I met with when I found out I had breast cancer. I didn't know anything about surgery and what to expect and he eased my mind greatly.

My daughter experienced an infection following a small surgery that Dr. Spann performed. When we tried to get follow up care all we got was the run around from the office staff (He was gone for Thanksgiving). We finally sought help from a family friend who is a Dr. and confirmed that it was in fact a rapidly progressing infection. During her follow up appointment, my wife shared our experience with Dr. Spann and he did the same thing that his assistant had done, cut her short and denied that it had anything to do with them. We received zero follow up care and lots of resistance from Dr. Spann and Couture Medical. Quick to get defensive and make excuses rather than address issues.
