I've been a patient with Dr. Stancil for four years. He was my doctor through my complicated pregnancy, which included emergency hospitalized bed rest for many weeks. He made a point to visit me every time he was on duty, and he made a point to take the time the to sit down with me, discuss my status, check on my general well being, and answer any questions I had.Dr. Stancil also performed abdominal myomectomy on me. The surgery was a success. The aftercare and his bedside manner were excellent.I had two miscarriages, and for both, Dr. Stancil went above and beyond what was necessary. He called to check on me at home. He answered emails when I had questions.Dr. Stancil does not push unnecessary medical interventions. He takes the time to listen to his patients and answer all their questions, which can result in an appointment going longer than scheduled. Dr. Stancil is well educated, up to date in his profession, and genuinely cares about his patients.

Changed my appointment time to earlier in the day as he had an opening. I showed up on time- he did not. I sat in the office for about 30 minutes, maybe longer. Didn't listen to me when I answered questions. Kept having to repeat myself. Frustrated with his attention to my issue. Took more than a week to get back to me on my results and only got to them after I called. Told me to wait out my issue, when it's been going on for more than 6 months.
