Dr. Balaa is a very thorough doctor who spends time with his patients, and is a nice guy on top of it! Very thorough colonoscopy with all questions answered!

Stay far away from Dr. Balaa. His staff is rude and incompetent -- They never call back, rarely respond to voicemails, and even failed to send any preparation instructions before my colonoscopy date. The doctor has a huge ego -- very patronizing and a kind of "God Complex" who can do no wrong. If something does go wrong, he blames the patient. Find a different GI doctor!!

I have truly felt I sm cared for by a professional, accurate and thorough doctor. He was very attentive to details by asking lots of questions and answered all mine. All in all, excellent.

When I went to Dr. Balaa, I saw him and not his PA. My colonoscopy went very well and I was able to talk to him after the procedure. His staff at the center called the next day to see if I was okay.

I have no problem with Dr. Balaa using a PA. It allows him to spend more time where he is truly needed. I find him caring and personable. His office staff has never been anything but friendly and efficient with me.

Dr. Balaa used to be a very good doctor until he started using his PA almost constantly. Now when you go to see Dr. Balaa, sometimes you never get to see him. Also, after he performed a colonoscopy, he used to talk to the patient and the family. Now, if you are lucky, you moght get to see him for a minute or two.
