Dr. Mary Johanna Albert, MD

Sat down as she came in the room and told me I needed to lose weight and she wouldn’t do surgery on me because of that. She Asked me to do Bariatric Surgery before she even had my full medical history, which I can’t even do. I have heart issues, I can’t walk, and i’m stuck. A little compassion goes a long way and she made me feel so horrible about myself. I’m working on myself, but what is she doing? If I wanted to go to a Bariatric surgeons I would have scheduled with one. Tried to tell her about my arthritis in other areas because she asked about it and she said oh no no no I don’t deal with that. Then don’t ask me what arthritis I have. What in the world. I can’t trust her now and I’m switching doctors. She was more concerned about my weight loss while she gave me a shot in the knee than the extreme pain I was having. I was also worried about getting prednisone due to my heart problem and she didn’t know she said, “well you can get the shot or don’t it’s up to you, or you can call… 911” excuse me but isn’t she the doctor??? Shouldn’t she know what’s best? Scary!!!

Partial knee at Gwinnett medical without pain medicine for six hours before discharge actually completed. Worst day I have experienced. Lost pieces of glue in joint. Never let her do anything to me again.

Dr, Albert is THE Best! She gave me two new hips, and in doing so she gave me my life back! Before surgery (osteoarthritis) it was so painful to walk, I was using a cane, and I'm only 60 years old. My first hip was in June, the 2nd in October, and recovery was SO fast! I was able to go home the same day, and PT had me walking right away. I had very little pain after surgery,. I've heard her patients heal faster, and that's true for me. I'm walking well now. I highly recommend Dr. Albert!

I had partial knee replacements in both knees this year. I am very pleased with the results. You do what she tells you to do! You must follow her directions!

This doctor prejudges you based on your weight. if you need surgery she will tell you she doesn't want to do the procedure because it may mess up her rating with the ins. companies if it wasn't successful. I felt so small after seeing her.. I can barely walk and she is worried about her rating. I would stay away from this doctor.

All I had hoped for from the surgery was to be able to walk a mile without discomfort, but that has never happened. l don't know if it was a bad device of if the surgery was not good. I have gone to several doctors since and no one knows why my knee still hurts.

My mother had total hip replacement on Monday at 1:30...today is postoperative day 5 and we made a trip to walmart without a walker and she did amazing! She has been staying with us since her surgery and has had such an easy, practically pain free recovery. She walks around home without assistance and has been up and about most of the day yesterday and today. I simply can not say enough about Dr.Albert and the anterior approach for hip replacement. My mom had suffered two years...my only regret is wish she had of had this done sooner.

I have worked with many doctors over the years. It is very rare that I ever call after hours and need to speak to the doctor on call with concerns or questions. I think I have had to twice my whole life. First of all she introduced her self as just Mary and proceed to talk down to me and bark orders and me not to touch the pin sticking out of my leg like I was a child that had been messing with it. Every time I tried to ask a questions she barked "if you think you need to go to the emergency room then go". She had me so taken a back I could hardly put my thoughts together. She was not just rude but mean to me that night. It was uncalled for and I hope I never run into another dr like her. I see from her reviews she has so so bedside manner that is blown off as professional. There was nothing professional about the way she talked to me that night. If you are like me and have honest questions and want to feel somewhat cared for then I would avoid her bedside manner at… all cost. She was mad that I even asked for a call back and she let me know it.

I have never in my life been treated in a more condescending, rude, disrespectful, cold, uncaring and unprofessional manner, This sad excuse for a doctor should have her license revoked. Is there a negative four star rating? She should not be allowed to operate on a roach or so much as apply a band aid. Simply horrible......
