Dr. Mary Carlene Ball, MD

Mary is a great doctor, but when she left her Family Practice to go for additional training, she gave patients a short notice leaving some of them in panic mode. She was also not honest about her possible departure in months leading up to her acceptance into training when asked by patients about possible exit/retirement. Hopefully this will be different when she retires.

Dr Ball is a kind and caring doctor. She takes time to explain things and make you feel comfortable able asking questions. I would recommend her highly.

Doctor is very experienced and is a caring person. The doctor has a strong personality that can be misunderstood as uncaring. She listens well, gets to know the patient, and answers questions. I trust this doctor and feel comfortable asking questions and discussing things with her. She is attentive to the patients needs. As far as bedside manner goes I believe I have seen the doctor at her very best and at her very worst and have concluded she is a very good doctor with all of her strengths and weaknesses. My overall health has improved greatly under her care.

This doctor has to be the worst doctor I've ever been to. She has absolutely no compassion and exudes a cold and prickly attitude. She has a strong, gruff attitude that conveys 'don't question me'. I don't think she ever smiled once in all the encounters I had with her. Always seems to be rushed and does not have time for you or your questions. In addition to her terrible bedside manner she even used a wrong diagnosis code for a procedure that I needed. Had it not been corrected by the tech I would've had to have had it redone correctly a second time. Even her office staff is unfriendly. This is a doctor and practice that seems to be all about the business of healthcare / making money, rather than the health and well-being of her patients. All in all, a terrible practice.

Very good doctor.

Excellent doctor. Very caring...alot more then any doctor that I have seen in the past. It is very clear that Dr. West cares about her patients and field of medicine and does her best. Dr. West treats her patients as equals, advising and recommending. She involves her patients in the decision making.I have complete confidence in her and very high trust. Dr. West is very experienced and good.

Physician cares about patients. The doctor and staff are very experienced. The doctor explains things in more detail & terms that the patient understands when asked to do so. The doctor does have a strong personality, but is caring at the same time. Excellent job on follow-up with test results. I would recommend this physician to others as I have high confidence in her.
