Dr. Mary Louise Barmann, MD

Has always been right on with my health issues. I trust her 100%. I have been a patient for well over 20 plus years. I could not find a better doctor who takes time to know you as a person too, not just a patient.

Barmann was my gyn for years, prescribed me birth control for my irregular periods but never investigated the cause of my problems, even when I asked her to. She made the problems worse. Once she suggested we do blood work since I was so concerned, I told her we already had, and she said we hadn’t. I told her the date of the test and the results, she looked up my records, and I was right, she read off exactly what I had said. She had no idea. She doesn’t even bother reading patient history? And then doubts what I tell her. She seems to not even really care what the problem is, she just wants to slap a hasty solution over the symptoms and send you on your way. I’m never going back to her

My whole family has been patients of Dr. Barmann for over 10 years. I was on an anti depressant for over a year and ran out, her office did not refill my prescription (even though they had been doing so the last year). When I called the Phone Nurse LIsa was insensitve and rude. I was telling her how I cant work becuase I feel so sick coming off my medicine abrubtly and I am dealing with losing my brother suddenly over the summer, she cut me off to say that Dr. Barmann isnt going to care about this. All because I owe her 150 dollars. Her nurse Peggy was also rude over the phone. I am so dissapointed in the way the staff handled the situation I refuse to go back. I had to call my cardiologist in Ann Arbor to get anything done. She does not care about her patients or thier families.

I have been seeing Dr Barrman for several years. If I schedule an early morning appointment I get in to see her right away. Later appointments are typically a longer wait, depending on the amount of time patients before me require of her. I never feel rushed, she addresses all of my issues and takes the time I need to get questions answered. A great doctor that truel cares about patient needs

2 hour wait. Barmann not only forgot I was there but called in incorrect medicine at pharmacy and she forgot to call in the other. Rude bedside manner. Never read my chart or asked any questions about my condition. Talked about her own personal life for 15 minutes. As she was leaving the room I had to ask her about other conditions that needed treatment that she had failed to assess because she never read my chart. WORST doctor I have ever seen.

Dr. Barmann takes care of your health issue and Kathy her nurse always follows up with test results in a timely matter. The office staff is working on getting friendlier.

Scheduling appointments and not having them changed by the doctor was always a challenge. The office staff including the office manager and Dr. Barmann's nurse Kathy are very rude. When brought to Dr. Barmann's attention she acted like she wasn't aware if the scheduling issues and rudeness of her staff. Pharmacey's have to call in excess of 5 times to get prescriptions refilled. Phone calls are never returned / acknowledged. Physician. Makes excuses of why she can't treat a certain condition. We went to a different doctor and it was taken care on with one visit. I would not recommend this practice to anyone. There always is a minimum 40 minute wait time before the doctor comes into the room to see you.

I have seen Dr. Barmann several times and have asked repeatedly about certain concerns of mine, most of the time these were not addressed. And if they were addressed, it was not always appropriate for the concern/complaint. She wants to talk about everything else but my health. Needless to say, I've changed doctors.

Doctor only talks about her daughter in the appt and she takes forever to see I'm always in the waiting room for a hour or more!
