If you want to feel safe and cared for, please seek another doctor. This was a traumatic experience. I wish I saw these reviews before choosing her to be my Dr.

procedure in the hospital which required me to take 2 different medicines beforehand. The day of the procedure right as the anesthesiologist was about to put me under, Dr. Barrett asked me if I took both medicines. Confused I explained I only took 1 (honest mistake). The response I received was sarcastic, cold, and showed very inappropriate bed side manners for a doctor (and similar to the communication she provided at her office multiple visits). I was told "Well I didn't prescribe you both just for fun. You can have complications, that was to open your uterus. I guess we are going to have to do this without it." When a doctor is sarcastic to you, chuckles, speaks coldly to you, AND implies there can be complications right as you are about to be put under, you do not feel safe. My last thought was "I can not believe she is the one about to touch my body. I wish I can get out of this right now." She absolutely had a point, I messed up and only took 1 out of 2, but there is a way to… communicate to your patient with care, compassion, kindness, and above all with consideration that your patient is about to be put under. Incredibly grateful for the kind supportive nurses there that did show empathy and provided great care. They also even followed up with me to apologize about the experience because a few of their nurses that was standing by witnessed the experience and explained there has been multiple incidents of "Dr. Barrett lacking bedside manners". My boyfriend who witnessed the entire thing as well also had some words to say as soon as he picked me up. He was furious a doctor could leave a patient tearing and implanting fear with such coldness literally right before being put under. My wrong doing was not following my intuition and changing doctor's when I first realized at her office that she did not speak to me respectfully or with care.. unfortunately this doctor just wants to get the job over with and have the bill paid. This is not a doctor I would recommend if you want to feel safe and cared for.

She delivered both of my daughters and I couldn't have asked for a better dr. She was amazing!

She did my hysterectomy a few years ago. She did a great job. I was in severe pain and my periods were out of control due to fibroids. She arranged it to get me in asap. She was highly recommended.

She is down to earth and professional. A no nonsense Doctor. Nice small office no corporate non-sense going on. Do not have to deal with a multitude of staff members. I am pleased with her ability to diagnos and recommend treatment.

Rude, abrupt, overbearing, insensitive. It was a very humiliating experience. I have met others who have had similar experiences with her as well.

Took my girlfriend to have a procedure done at the office and unexpectedly came upon a billing question. Office could not give any kind of indication of the cost, even after calling her insurance. During the "discussion" about the cost of the lab that she wasn't even told would be a cost when she agreed to let Dr. Barrett do this procedure, she was quite overbearing, loud almost to the point of yelling and quite unpleasant. I had to walk out of the office because she was so obnoxious, did not resolve the issue, and was upsetting my girlfriend. It felt like she expected us to just take what she was saying as gospel and annoyed that we had concerns that another cost was going to be assessed that was not previously discussed. It is also very dissatisfying and upsetting that not 10 mins before the procedure is when the doctor decided was the best time to talk about this, rather than picking up the phone, or telling her when the procedure was scheduled (weeks in advance). Her demeanor… was not that of a doctor, it was of a car salesman conducting a "hard sell" and trying to make us just concede so theater the tension would cease.

Dr. Barett performed my hysterectomy and she was excellent. I had seen another doctor who could not diagnose immediately what I had and I went to get a 2nd opinion. Dr. Barett examined me and immediately knew I had a rather large tumor (size of a grapefruit actually) Anyway, from the first time I met her, surgery and follow up, she was friendly, funny and most professional.

bedside manners is very poor acts like her mind is somewhere else.
