Dr. Mary Hui Bechis, MD

My mother-in-law started seeing Dr. Bechis, she had noticably fluid retention from her many health conditions as well as being jaundice, Dr. Bechis saw her on a Monday evening, she mentioned she could see the fluid buildup but wouldn't admit her because my mother-in-law said she hated hospital's. Instead of telling my mother-in-law how serious it was she sent her home, my mother-in-law could barely breathe leaving the office. The next day she started a new med she was given by Dr. Bechis and her breathing got worse, Dr. Bechis told her to take a lasix, within a half hour of taking a additional lasix my mother-in-law went into cardiac arrest. She coded several times and ended up on life support that afternoon, the doc in the hospital said I'm surprised Dr. Bechis let her go home last night, it was definitely unprofessional and dangerous for her to send her home. At that point we found out she'd been in multi system organ failure. She passed away 4 days later. This doc is dangerous! If… she told my mother-in-law she could die soon if she didn't go to the hospital she would still be here. She never mentioned a cardiac Cath that could've been put into place for us to remove excess fluid for her to breathe better.

Dr. Bechis was very dismissive. She seemed annoyed at my very presence. I was surprised she was recommended to me.
