Mary Beth Son, MD

Dr. Mary Beth Son, MD, is Clinical Chief of the Division of Immunology, Section Chief of the Rheumatology Program, and Director of the Samara Jan Turkel Clinical Center at Boston Children’s Hospital, as well as an associate professor of pediatrics at Harvard Medical School. Board certified in pediatric rheumatology, she specializes in Kawasaki disease, lupus, juvenile idiopathic arthritis, vasculitis, and other autoimmune and inflammatory disorders affecting children and adolescents. Dr. Son earned her medical degree from the University of Massachusetts Medical School and completed her pediatrics residency through the Boston Combined Residency Program, followed by fellowship training in pediatric rheumatology at Boston Children’s Hospital. Widely recognized for her leadership in pediatric rheumatology and immunology, she is dedicated to advancing multidisciplinary, family-centered care and improving outcomes for children with complex autoimmune and inflammatory diseases.
