Dr. Mary Heather Boyd, MD

Dr. Boyd is an exceptionally gifted psychiatrist, especially in the area of therapy. She is caring, concerned, and extremely competent.

I wish I could give a better rating but the fact of the matter is, I never got the opportunity to ever be seen. I had to miss my first appointment due to an emergency that arose and unfortunately, did not notify them before missing the appt. Sometimes things happen and you can't just drop everything and call to rescheduled. When I did get the opportunity to call, I was told that the Doctor would refuse to reschedule me. My psychologists even called on my behalf after the fact to find out why this happened. They told her they simply do not reschedule no shows. While I know missing an appt is not ideal, we both were in shock that medical professionals would do business or people this way. It's a shame because I really need the help but if they aren't going to care enough about patience circumstances, then luckily for me, I didn't get to be treated at this place. Very disappointed. And no, I wasn't rude or anything. I'm sure one would assume it couldn't have been this cut and… dry but it was.

Very easy to talk to. I've always felt intimidated or judged by previous doctors, but she's cool.She's not stiff or a snob like some doctors. She has a personality that turns her into your sister or something for 15 minutes. She genuinely wants her clients to feel better and listens to feedback regarding meds.

I've had so many problems finding a GOOD psychiatrist that actually listens to what's going on instead of just adding more prescriptions...a rarity.

I liked her initially, but was soon turned off by her bedside manner. She didn't seem to care if you had side effects that were bothersome.
