About Mary Cahill, PMHNP

Mary Cahill, PMHNP, is a dual board-certified nurse practitioner in psychiatric mental health and adult–geriatric care, providing thoughtful, patient-centered psychiatry for adults in Brooklyn, New York. With decades of experience as both a registered nurse and nurse practitioner across hospital, outpatient, and community settings, she approaches mental health with a whole-person perspective that values safety, respect, and clear communication.

Training and Experience

Mary completed her psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner post-master’s certificate at NYU Rory Meyers College of Nursing and a psychiatry fellowship at Bellevue Hospital. She earned an MS in Nursing as an Adult and Geriatric Nurse Practitioner from Columbia University and a BS in Nursing from the University of San Francisco, graduating summa cum laude. Her background includes inpatient psychiatry treating schizophrenia spectrum …and bipolar disorders, complex diagnostic evaluations, and evidence-based medication management.
