Dr. Christian is a graduate of Wofford College (B.S. 1984), and the University of South Carolina School of Medicine (M.D. 1988). She completed a General Surgery Residency at the University of Kentucky, serving there as chief resident from 1992 to 1993. She is board certified by the American Board of Surgery, a fellow of the American College of Surgeons, and a member of the American Society of Breast Surgeons and the American Society of Breast Disease. Prior to relocating to Louisiana and specializing in Breast Surgery in 2003, Dr. Christian was in private practice as a General Surgeon in South Carolina and served in the Indian Health Service at the Alaska Native Medical Center. She is married and has three daughters.

I have worked in the healthcare field for 35+ years so I have associated with physicians "all my life". Dr. Christian is excellent!!!! Friendly, intelligent, caring, easy to talk to, good listener....just an all around good person. Her staff is very friendly and efficient. I could see where we could be friends if I had not met her as my surgeon first. :)

She takes the time to explain the diagnosis, problems and options and answers every question. She also gives her opinion of the best option and why. I never felt rushed.

She explains everything very clearly, takes time to answer any questions, and discusses all of the options.

I had the pleasurable experience to care for some of Dr. Christian's patients in the past. My first personal encounter with Dr. Christian will always be a wonderful memory. She is very professional, very knowledgeable and very caring. She took so much time to listen to my concerns and answered my questions. She allowed my family to be with me. She is not only a great physician with a kind heart but she is also a Christian. I felt a peace and knew I had choose the right physician and surgeon. Thank you Dr. Christian for all you do!
