When my Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome infant son was entering congestive heart failure, Dr. Falterman was the only one of his doctors who recognized that things were not good. The other cardiologist and the pediatrician didn't think anything was amiss. We have returned to her, now that my son is beginning his teenage years, which can be tricky for single ventricle children, because she is so very smart, intuitive, thorough, and conscientious. She is very detail-oriented and attentive. My son, husband, and I feel that we we are in wonderful hands, and that offers us peace of mind in an otherwise scary situation.

My son has been seeing Dr. Falterman for 3 years - since soon after he was born. She is very caring - excited when he's doing well & worried when he's not. She also takes the time to talk to us about how he's doing and to answer our questions. She interacts well with him, working with the constant movement of a little boy. She does a thorough echo, occasionally taking measurements multiple times if they seem off. Her office staff has worked well with my son, helping distract him when he gets a little worried about a test. We're moving soon & we're wishing we could convince her to move with us!
