Dr. Mary Bertha Figueroa, MD

Dr. Figueroa is very attentive to details. Answers all the questions I ask and provide clear direction. She is very caring!

She is a very courteous and detailed physician. Takes time to listen to the patient and explains things in detail. She is super!

I have seen Dr Figueroa for many years. She is a fine MD for general illnesses, however, when my medical issues became more complex, she was unable to see the whole picture and was grasping at straws to discern the problem. She would treat the symptoms only. I have no problem when a physician is unable to come up with a diagnosis, but then you should tell your patient their medical problems are requiring a need for another physician's viewpoint or 'over your head' and refer to an Internal Medicine MD or Specialist. Also, do not attempt to challenge her thought process. She does not like to be questioned. Her bedside behaviors toward you will change and she will become direct and shut you short. It is sad then we had such a good doctor/patient relationship for so many years. I have since gone to an Internal Medicine MD, and am very happy. She was able to diagnose me correctly and she demonstrated confidence in her abilities. I wouldn't change in a heartbeat!

This doctor falls very short with her diagnostic skills. I called after hours and the reaction I received from her was to "never call her and disturb her after hours". REALLY???? It's your job doc. I was diagnosed by someone else with a serious infection that required hospitalization. Will not return to this self centered doctor-my health depends not returning.

Dr. Figueroa is an excellent physician. She has diagnosed and helped me to manage thyroid disease as well as other health issues for the past 5 years. She is very thorough and accurate in her diagnosis, and very competent in dealing with issues specific to women. She is understanding and kind and listens well, and she uses all tools at her disposal.
