Terrible. Writes negative things on your records. Thinks people who seek neurologists need psychiatrists as if we are all morons.

Caring, listens to patients and very thorough.

I completely back that post. She did not listen to me at all. She undid what my PC took 13 years to finally get right. She put it in my records so when my PC went to UPMC and I had to switch to Allegheny Drs' ...my new PC could not fill prescriptions due to her. My life is now in shambles and I am struggling just to get to the next day in order to get to her psych doctors in order to get medical attention which is ridiculous. Two months of under Medication.

Mary Flaherty is a good neurologist if you have a basic condition. If you're suffering from something more complicated that requires research (on her part) or more than just a prescription for headache medicine, seek help elsewhere. Not only did she never call me after having a test done (that SHE ordered), but several times, she tried to pawn me off on her 'friend' who is not within the network of doctors that she works for, just because that neurologist was looking for new patients. She did gave me this doctors information during my initial consultation with her and once on the phone - which are the only two times I've spoken with Dr. Flaherty. She's a basic, bare minimum kind of doctor.

She’s extremely receptive, listening to all my concerns. She made sure to address each issue. Could not recommend highly enough.
