Dr. Mary Kurian George, MD

Dr George was my Dr for a few years, and I liked her as a Dr. a few months ago I told that I was having memory problems. She diagnosed me with short-term memory. She sent me for an MRI. She failed to do any more testing. I was diagnosed with early onset Alzheimer’s. Subsequent Dr’s said that Dr George should have sent me for more testing.

Dr. George has been my Primary Care Physician for almost 23 years. I think that "bedside manner" is one of the most important attributes for a doctor. Dr. George is kind, supportive, compassionate and truly listens. It is my experience that she takes time with her patients, gets to know them both medically and personally. Dr. George a skilled physician.

Receptionist is very rude and is a bully, Gina or Jeanne is her name. The receptionist enjoys gas lighting and frustrating people, avoid her as much as possible. She will also hang up on your when it's convenient for her and call back saying the call disconnected. If you make her angry enough, she doesn't call back. This is a concerning practice for someone who works in heathcare. Maybe with all that extra money from the concierge practice they're going into at $1600 per patient annually, they'll hire a new receptionist.

Dr. George recently changed her practice into a form of even more privatized medicine. Her new practice excludes many of her patients and now you can only be her patient if you have the money for it. I thought Dr. George cared about her patients but she prioritizes the money to be made off of them. Very disappointed.

I have been with Dr. George for over 20 years. The health system is getting so caught up in how any patients you can see in an hour. This is why she is going to the new service which I am so happy about. She is the best doctor I have ever had. I am looking forward to having more time to see her.

I agree with the previous review regarding the change in the doctor’s demeanor. She seems to be very preoccupied and unhappy. It was my annual physical, but she barely examined me. She spent a lot of time complaining about the work she has to do keeping patient’s records, then made several mistakes recording my visit. I did receive a survey call regarding the doctor possibly changing to a concierge type practice. If that’s what she wants to do I hope she does it soon, for the sake of her patients. I’m looking elsewhere.

I rated her once before as a 5 star doctor but she seems to have invested more in promoting certain aspects of her office and resources than in patient care. Her bedside manner changed from displaying empathy "I'm sorry to hear this. Let's get you better" to recently she doesn't even smile. What happened??? There's also always been a problem with receiving lab results but I overlooked that because she was so kind and spent so much time with me. Now I see I'm just a number to a growing businesswoman.

Dr. George is the most compassionate doctor I have ever gone to. She is supportive, listens to what you have to say and does not rush you out of her office!!

We have followed her from two other locations, and are happy she is running her own practice. She treats you with respect, genuine care and concern!

A great doctor. She spends quality time with you and listens to what you have to say.
