Dr. Mary Elizabeth Grist

My son has been seeing Dr. Grist for years and we absolutely love her. She takes the time to explain things and will always go the extra mile. I read some of the other reviews and I was shocked at how people are so one with their reviews. Sometimes certain immunizations may not be in stock due to shipment delays or shortages but she always informs us if there is a delay etc. and gives us another option. Like any other physician, her schedule may occasionally change due to other patients ( she does see patients in the hospital) or a family matter but we have not had any problems. The wait time at her office is so brief as she really tries to see patients at their scheduled appointment time. It does seem that she has had some staffing issues lately but she is still the best! As far as insurance issues. She has a sign that states that you should update your insurance information at each visit. Furthermore will all this EHR stuff, they need your correct insurance information in the… system for the encounter to be printed and billed correctly. I think that the doctor should get paid for her services too as she needs to pay her bills. Can I get gas at the same gas station that I use every week without paying but instead, promise them that I will come back and pay? highly unlikely. Be responsible and have your child's information updated and available especially when your child may only see the doctor once per year ! Maybe we can hold ourselves accountable for our mistakes and not others! She is better off with patients and families who actually care about her as well. I know that she deeply cares about her patients. You will not get the one on one service from any other practice. Good luck. I will stay with Dr. Grist!

We have been seeing Dr. Grist for a few years now, and I cannot figure out why. She consistently reschedules or cancels appointments, never has vaccinations on hand for my kids, and cycles through receptions every couple of months. We recently began seeing another pediatrician.

Turned my kid down because I did not have ins card on hand. When I said I can log on to prove her coverage as well as call it in after appt. They wanted me to reschedule. No thank you! By the way, she's not a new patient with Grist! Could barely understand the receptionist.
