Dr. Mary Katherine Harper, DO

I was extremely disappointed by this provider’s bedside manner. The biggest issue wasn’t even the treatment itself—it was the way patients are spoken to. I witnessed a close friend take their child in for an ear infection. The doctor prescribed an antibiotic, and because our family has firsthand experience with someone suffering significant side effects from that this particular medication, my friend simply asked if there were any other reasonable treatment options. Instead of having a respectful conversation, the doctor came across as dismissive, condescending, and unwilling to discuss alternatives. No one was refusing treatment. The goal was simply to understand the options and make an informed decision. Patients and parents should be able to ask questions without feeling like they’re being talked down to. My family owns a business, and while it has nothing to do with healthcare, we believe in educating our customers and giving them options so they can make the decision that’s… best for them. It was surprising to see so little willingness to have that same kind of conversation in a medical setting. A doctor’s knowledge is incredibly important, but so are compassion, humility, and communication. Those qualities were unfortunately missing during this interaction. Based on what I witnessed, I would not recommend this provider to friends or family.

Don’t bring your husbands near this woman. She is a predator

Terrible bedside manner, rude and condescending. I witnessed her treating her nurses like garbage. You couldn’t pay me to bring my loved one to this doctor for care

Never even saw this “doctor” one single time in the hospital during my stay but was charged almost $2,000 for her providing care??? What a joke! How do these people sleep at night?? I guess I should’ve became a doctor instead of a 2nd grade teacher. You don’t have to work and can charge people for nothing!! Wow!

I went in with a sickness that I picked up while out of the country. Dr. Harper related to me well, gave me what I needed and didn't waste time. She treated me like a person not a clinical statistic

She did conduct herself professionally. I would be cautioned when you are seen by her.
