Dr. Mary Jo Cannon, MD

Dr Cannon. Is the best I highly recommend. Been with her for about 3 years and she through out my time with her has used my recovery information I use to help new and existing patients. She worked with my other doctors when had to have surgery for hernias and is always helpful with any questions or concerns I might have. She is also knows recovery her self being in it aswell. Do what she recommends and fallow the program and it will work. Got to want it. Honesty is key have problem tell her. Need Recommendation for some or probation she can help. Highly recommend.

I've been seeing Dr. Cannon at her Hagerstown office for almost 2 years now and she is amazing. I've had 3 different addictions doctors within the past 6 years and she has been the best one by far. She goes out of her way to make sure you are taken care of and she genuinely cares about her patients sobriety. She is a great person in general, I can talk to her about anything. I just love her. I highly recommend her if you need help with sobriety.

I don't know about Dr. Cannon, I haven't met with her, yet. I love all the staff but Belinda. Belinda relapsed me. She works there. I was there for treatment, showed up for 4 appointments and still no meds. Belinda told me to come back next week, cuz junkies are known for their infinite patients and resolve to withdraw on their own. Well, I just got some heroin, cuz my dealer didn't say come back next week. He's not trying to bilk my insurance, his only question is how much, and it is available right now. I don't have to wait until next week. Isn't Suboxone withdraw supposed to be medically supervised? Oh, that's not a "best practice"? Not at this office. Here you get exacerbation of withdraw and relapse; not to mention, the intentional infliction of emotional distress. Think you're dealing with a powerless junkie? I'll be there at my next appointment, believe that. Someone is going to answer to me. Either that or they can answer to my lawyer. You are going to treat people to the legal… and medical standard you swore an oath to. First do no harm, right? This junkie, this is the last junkie you'll be doing this to. I demand better care for myself and every patient there. I really need help and I am not going to let one relapse derail all my progress. You owe me a duty of care! I intend to collect! I'm looking for help, not litigation. The ball, is in your court! You either serve or volley. Either way, I WIN!

She was a great doctor.

After reading all these other comments the negative ones anyway, they couldn’t be more wrong, she wants to help you, she doesn’t pry religion on you , she does care about people getting help and recovery , and she wants u to get help an also lead toward a SOBER LIFE! U go there to get meds to get off drugs. She wants everyone to get clean eventually. These people make it sound like your just her paycheck and she doesn’t care about u! WRONG she is very nice and caring. great lady , great staff .. 5 stars all day

Very Happy with Doc C. I hear the banter in the waiting room. First hand, the only ones unhappy with her are those who try to get away with something, caught adulterating urine, or simply not following the program presented them. I found the overall experience vastly better than other providers in the area. Doc C just has this wonderful way of communicating with me. I can tell her everything.

It was extremely refreshing to find a Dr who could not only understand what I was going through but she has been through this herself. She has an excellent bed side manor and provides you with all the tools as well as support that is needed. I recommend seeing her if you looking for a well rounded Dr in her field.

I was self admitted and wanting change and she was very nice at first but then she changed honesty gets uyou no where with her very judgemental. I had problem wanted a change but she decides who she likes and the rest are just no good addicts and I was informed that she was telling other patients about my treatment which is against the law I'd recommend anyone but her if you truly want change and a doc for you not a tell all doc good luck and find a doc that treats u like a person not a paycheck

Words cannot describe the lack of integrity and unprofessional demeanor and practices of this money hungry quack that charges extra for the air that you breathe while in her office. The patient is viewed as nothing more than an account to resell over and over. Her goal is for the patient to become dependent on her so that you continue to come back thereby insuring that you make no progress on your own. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!

She pushes religion and prys into everything. I get recovery but she insists her way is the only way. Looking for a new doctor.
