As an Immediate care doctor, Dr. Kegley lacks sensitivity, and empathy as a doctor! I was in so much pain, and alll she could say was how fearful I was! She also lacked knowledge about how to prescribe the correct antibiotic for an infection. She asked me which antibiotic I would like for my infection! Are you kidding? She’s the doctor! On my second visit, she told me to act like an adult and take a whole codeine pill rather than one half of it! When I. asked her if she knew of another medicine that could help me, she abruptly said that she did not have time to look it up as she had other patients! She said there was nothing else she could do for me, and I quickly left feeling humiliated, and depressed.

I wouldn't wish her on my worst enemy. I went to Desert Oasis because I don't have a PCP and needed a renewal for my blood pressure pills. I also asked if I could have an order for routine lab work. I saw a great doctor there two years ago and he took care of both things. I returned on the same day of the week that he worked hoping to see him again. He does still work there but I mistakenly thought he was the only doctor on duty. Now I understand why every patient who arrived after me asked for him by name. Anyhow, Dr. Kegley came into the exam room and I told her why I was there. She spoke very fast and was hard to follow. Regarding the blood pressure meds she said I should go to Walgreens instead of Rite Aid and that I shouldn't use my insurance but just pay out of pocket and get 90 days worth instead of 30. But maybe she shouldn't renew them at all. (Huh???) Things got worse when I asked for a routine blood test. She said there is a lab on the premises but they… won't do certain tests (cholesterol may have been one of them). I told her my insurance only covers one lab in the area - and it's not theirs. I mentioned that I got a lab referral from them on my last visit. Then the rampage started. Something about the other lab not being "plugged into our computer" so they wouldn't get test results (I thought labs faxed their results.) If she gave me a lab referral that would be "malpractice." (Why?) What if the results showed something was wrong? (I would follow up with someone.) She was sure it wouldn't cost that much more for me to use their lab instead. I told her about my friend who was billed $800 for a routine blood test after an insurance mix-up. I finally had enough of Dr. Kegley and told her to just forget everything and that I was leaving. This is the first time I've ever walked out on a doctor. She is by far the most inconsiderate, loud, uncaring, argumentative doctor I've ever encountered (and I'm well into middle age!) Her suggestions regarding my prescriptions and lab work made no sense. Avoid Dr. Kegley at all costs!

My husband was told to go to this urgent care office because they are affiliated with his primary care doctors office and they had no appointment times available. He suffers from psoriatic arthritis and osteoporosis. He needed his medications refilled. Since the doctors office did not put their visits in the computer, she got upset when he showed her all his prescriptions. He thought he should bring them all in as most doctors ask what medicine you are taking. He is prescribed 3 Norco a day. He is also prescribed meds for his blood pressure, thyroid medication, methotrexate, cosentyx etc. Dr Kegley accused him of seeking pain meds and tried to take his medicine bag from him. She then threatened to turn him in to the DEA, which she did. Of course this was dismissed by them. She needs to get off her power trip and start listening to and caring for patients! UNEXCEPTABLE!

My husband took his 80-year-old mother in Desert Oasis Urgent Care in Yucca Valley after she fell and hit her head. She is intimidated by doctors and has white-coat syndrome. The fear and pain elevated her blood pressure. She also has bursitis, arthritis, a bad hip and a bad knee – she’s in chronic pain. She has a prescription for two Norco per day, but only takes them when she feels she needs to. That witch of a woman, Dr. Mary A. Kegley, accused my sweet mother-in-law of abusing her pain medication and told her that’s why she fell. She then threatened my husband for refusing blood pressure medication – which my mother-in-law has never wanted and refused of her own volition. After accusing my mother-in-law of abusing hydrocodone, she then told my husband she would report him to Adult Protective Services. After telling my friend of this horrible experience, she then related her own experience whereupon this horrible doctor did the same thing to her husband who has severe psoriatic… arthritis. She accused him of peddling prescription narcotics and reported him to the DEA! Dr. Kegley looks like she’s prescribing herself narcotics. Perhaps she’s reporting everyone to take the focus off of herself-?? HORRIBLE WOMAN!!!
