She told me my child had mild sleep apnea but wasn't going to do anything because she wants to write it off as behavior problems since my daughter has ADHD. Hello sleep apnea causes behavior problems by not getting enough sleep. If a cpap machine can help my daughter to get a good nights sleep then maybe she wouldn't have behavior problems or so many migraines. If you can help a child to come off of medication she has taken for more than 5 years then why not go for it and see if it works. A cpap is one thing but medication (in my daughters case) is taking 7 different medications on a daily basis. I think it is time to help her to knock it down to as few as possible.

Dr Maddox is a wonderful doctor. She provided invaluable help to our baby and our family. After patiently listening to us and performing a complete clinical check-up, she provided concrete, and effective guidelines. Moreover, she taught us to follow our instincts and helped us build confidence in ourselves. She has followed up on our case and has been available for Q&A. Dr Maddox is warm and kind. Our child loved her from day one, and we did as well. We refer our friends to her every time we are complimented on how well our child sleeps.

Dr. Maddox treated my son on 4-5 occasions and was incredibly helpful and attentive. I found that Dr. Maddox was a very comforting person, easy to talk to, and my son loved her. I was very impressed with how well she followed up with us after our appointments. I would absolutely refer friends to her to receive great medical care.

I wasn't a fan of this doctor at all. I didn't like her bedside manor. She was patronizing and the opposite of "warm". She would not give me the information I asked for and treated me like I was doing something wrong when I wanted more information than what she gave. My child's sleep study was not very well interpreted by this doctor, and because of her failure to interpret the study accurately, we had to come back two nights later on a night that was very inconvenient for my family. During the first visit, when she had interpreted the study wrong (more severely than it actually was), she told me my child was likely to die of SIDS and instructed me not to put a blanket over his head. Really? I can't believe it's ever necessary to tell a new mother something so bluntly pessimistic (wouldn't "he is at increased risk of SIDS" do the job just as well?), and telling me (an obviously educated person) not to put a blanket over the head of my baby was very insulting. I was dismayed by her… bedside manner and counted the entire visit as a terrible experience. Everyone else we ever dealt with at the sleep study center was fabulous. I think this doctor lacked confidence and experience, and that was part of the reason she was so patronizing and rigid. Regardless, I would not recommend.
