My father went to her for routine appt. he said a bit shortness of breath and one week after appt had a massive heart attack. She never followed up with a heart murmur or referred to Cardilogist

I loved dr mason, I really did, but she or her practice discharged me as a patient for no reason in the middle of a medical crisis while I was still waiting for my appointment. This led to serious health problems. I could not get my medicines on time, as it took me time to get referred, wait for an appointment, and see someone new, so I have been very sick. That, and my heart symptoms didn't resolve themselves. I had to go to an urgent care to get the med adjustment the ER dr told me I needed, just to be able to control my heart at night enough to get any sleep, and I had to see a stranger to help me wean off of my cymbalta because I didn't know how to by myself and cymbalta makes you veeery sick in you stop it suddenly. I made at least 5 phone calls to the office about the matter, and spoke to at least 3 office staff members to try to resolve it, including the very rude, ignorant, unprofessional office manager, who tried to tell me I lied and didn't have anything wtong with my… heart, and also to me my doctor was "done with me" and would not accept my call. Upon finally getting an explanation as to why, I was told I had cancelled my appointment 5 times in a row. I did not. Its a lie, or a clerical error, or just an excuse to not say the real reason. In reality, the office itself cancelled on ME 3 times, twice due to hurricane related issues, and once because I only had 80 of the $100 I needed to be seen, despite having always caught up my bill with them & keeping my account up-to-date. Truthfully, I think its because I complained about the office staff in writing to my doctor, after I watched one of them cold-heartedly send away a very sick woman in her 90s and her profusely weeping daughter, for being 5 minutes late. I was appalled at the callous disregard for a very sick, very obviously in need of medical attention woman in her 90's. I've been speaking to lawyers and seems I have a case, so hopefully I can force them to fix this, and make them pay for the hurt & suffering they've caused by their poor office management and negligence. Never go here. Terrible management.

It took me a long time to find a doctor that I felt was truly listening to me and not rushing me out of the office. I always feel cared for in her office and I get the best care I've had in years!

PA prescribed medicine and did not discuss the purpose of the medicine. I had asked for Valtrex, but got something different without the PA confirming it was OK, or telling me why it might be better for me than what I was requesting. Had to wait 10 days for Kidney infection. Front desk staff is very short and curt, not friendly and welcoming at all. I have arrived at 8:15 for an 8:30 appointment and had to wait 45 minutes to see the PA and was offered no explanation, much less an apology. It's like they don't consider that patients have jobs and obligations and we are held hostage if we are sick and need a doctor. I also take my mother-in-law to this Doctor and we have never been seen on time, we always are at least 30 minutes after our appointment just being called back to the nurse.

I have often waited for days for a call back regarding a prescription, or medical question. She has gven me a different prescription (unnecessary) at every visit. She has called prescriptions into the wrong pharmacies - more than once! She has ordered tests that were not needed, and left me anxiously waiting for the results. I just don't understand how she is getting good reviews. Maybe because she's quick to prescribe?

Very thorough with examination. Very personable and caring. Excellent support staff that is friendly and courteous.
