Dr. Mary Louise Mccomis, MD

It has as taken me months to be able to write this review as everytime I considered it, I started sobbing. However, I need to write it in hopes of protecting others from this Dr. I sincerely hope sh doesn’t still have her license anymore after administering a wrong drug to my perfectly healthy baby boy, landing him in Children’s NICU for 3 days with cardiac arrest and/or losing his penis on the line. She is arrogant, which led to carelessness and did NOT read OR scan the medication, OR even know she administered the wrong drug until she was notified by another Dr./nurse. She was insensitive to the situation, told us “he is doing just fine” while poison control is on the phone and 10 doctors were surrounding him to monitor his vitals. My husband and I are traumatized for life by this circumstance that was 100% AVOIDABLE, and still find ourselves wondering if our baby will have any future issues. I do not recommend this doctor to anyone.

Cancels appointments last minute and directs her reception team to snark at patients. I had my appointment cancelled 3 times (one of which was while I was standing in the lobby) before finally giving up and going elsewhere to a doctor that cares about schedules.

I waited for over an hour to get called into a room. I spoke with the receptionist and she said that it is common to wait over an hour for an appointment as the doctor is typically late.

Dr.McComis was wonderful for our family. We had two previous losses and she was upfront and honest with our care (which was perfect for our family). Any request that I had, she followed through with. I had asked for another ultrasound at 33 weeks and she was able to put in the order. The day we had to be induced she stayed past her hours to deliver my daughter. Her shift ended at 6 or 7 and she stayed until 9:30 without being on call. It meant so much to our family. Highly recommend her!

Not my normal doctor was on call. I have never been treated so poorly. She was so disrespectful and nasty. I highly suggest to find a new doctor.

Dr. McComis does not respond to patient phone calls on a timely basis and does not inform patients of test results on a timely basis. I had to speak to the practice administrator in order to get my test results. I saw her once; never again.

She explained my choices for surgery thoroughly. She is a serious physician, however was approachable and answered all my questions.

Save yourself the time and energy and just find someone else now. Doesn't listen to patients, has a terribly long wait time, doesn't return calls, poor bedside manner, etc.

Please don't go. She does not respond properly. I lost my patience. I will not recommend her to anyone. The clinic will says as she is very busy and you wont get appointments and even if you get, she will not give proper response. After waiting for many weeks,imagine how annoying it would be if you don't hear anything proper.I am having spot bleeding, she told to do so many tests and till date my insurance has paid more than $5000, but my problem is not solved yet.I am bleeding for 3 months.This is just one example. I had similar issues with her. I am going to change the hospital and going to log a complaint in Prohealthcare.

I went into labor with my first child after waking up with contractions and throwing up. For this delivery I also woke up to contractions and throwing up. We proceeded to the hospital. Contractions were about 7 minutes apart. After about three hours Dr. McComis sent me home, telling me to come back when my contractions were closer together. Please keep in mind that she did not even come see me, and that the resident who was communicating with her via phone was confused that she sent me home. After being home a short time my contractions sped up, so much so that I delievered 15 minutes after getting to the hospital - without an epideral. An epideral was really my only request. (I live about 10 minutes from the hospital). Dr. McComis was not present for the delivery, but sent a bill for it anyway. When I called to dispute the bill I was told that I still had to pay - even though she didn't perform the service.
