Dr. Mary Evelyn Mckinley, MD

Dr. McKinley herself is very caring and personable doctor. She's honest with what she doesn't know and researches to find answers. We found her to be kind, above average knowledgeable, and good with both my husband's issues and mine. The only issue we had with her was her office staff could be rude and didn't convey messages to her in a timely manner. A few obviously didn't care as they should have.

I WISH I could rate this even lower. The staff at this office are RUDE and unprofessional. My son (who has been seen here for years) inquired about medication for adhd. He was told a rx would be sent in they then did a drug screening. Days later his meds had not arrived so I called the office. I was given the excuse that the system was down and then that they were waiting on the drug test results. When I asked why he was drug tested THEY LIED and told me it was a law and not doing so would cost Dr. Mckinley her medical license. This has become an absolute joke of a medical practice and she needs to fire everyone. Go anywhere but here

I have been going to this practice for 13 years now. I love Dr. McKinley, but her front desk staff & office manager have bad manners & attitudes. Every time she gets new girls @ the front desk they’re rude. I don’t know where she hires her staff from but she needs to do thorough research on where she hires them from before bringing them into her practice. They’re in the front of the practice…. the first ones that patients see @ first sight before we even see Dr. McKinley or her NP’s. They make the whole practice look bad because of their rudeness & attitudes. Dr. McKinley has & will lose more patients because of them. She needs to rehire new ones now & the office manager.

Sometimes they are on the ball and Sometimes they aren't. I dealt with it for years but not anymore. The front desk staff is unfriendly and unprofessional. Have been going to this office for years and never saw Dr. McKinley, but usually see her nurse practitioners. They seem knowledgeable and friendly. Had an incident where the nurse told me to come in to do lab work due to antibiotic given gave me side effects. Took off from work, came to office to do so, waited 30 minutes and then they tell me I have to make an appointment and they would need to re-bill my insurance, etc. Just to get a different prescription??? No apologies for me missing time off work and sitting there for nothing. Terrible service, I have since left this office due to rude employees at front desk. I would rather spend my money and my time at a more caring/ knowledgeable office.

They are highly efficient at getting your co-pay. Never once saw the Dr. the whole time I went there.

She is very understanding, her staff on the other hand is a very different story she has change a lot of staff in her office but one person seems to judge you. And that is not right.

This office is hit or miss. Sometimes they are on the ball. Sometimes they aren't. The front desk staff used to be horrible, but they seem to have improved some. The office is very outdated and I hate the sliding glass at the front window. Have been going to this office for three years. Saw Dr. McKinley once, but usually see her nurse practitioners. They seem knowledgeable and friendly. It's just that the whole team needs to work together to get on the same page and improve their image. Maybe hire some more people to work the front desk and answer phones.

Office was VERY full. Was NOT given attention needed nor taken seriously. You are almost never seen by the actual doctor at this office, almost always by a PA even when you are told otherwise on your initial visit and inquisition. The front office staff sits behind walls and if you have a question you have no idea what to do because there are no signs to tell you what to do. You just have to try to wait and watch for them to open it for another patient and try to "catch" them before they slam it shut. Otherwise, you are out of luck because the only sign they do have is DON'T knock on the glass. I am very much considering changing physicians but unfortunately this is the case of most doctors. I wish I knew of a doctor who actually had time to see their own patients and give correct diagnoses since they are the ones who went to medical school and the one you actually are paying to see and I wish I knew of one who actually cared a hoot about their patients even if they did see… them.

Dr. Mckinley or her NP's ALWAYS take time to listen and answer questions. My husband, myslf, my 4 children, my sister , her 2 kids, my sis in law and her 4 kids are all patients. We just love her. She lets you be a person, not a number!! My family have been her patients for over 6 years. teh wait time varies on certain days/ The staff are super nice and they love kids. The diagnoses are right on and they really care about you and follow up accordingly.
