Dr. Mary Jane Minkin, MD

Nearly one year to get an appointment. When I got there, nothing was ready. This is a paper office so the staff manually filled out forms while I waited at the check in desk. As explained at the time I set the appointment, she doesn't participate with insurance, yet somehow there are not even paper receipts that are sufficient to submit to my insurance provider for reimbursement. I waited almost an hour in an exam room to see her. She hadn't reviewed anything. A few questions and then samples and prescriptions. She said something about "sitting on boards" so I assume advisory boards and that she's got some sort of endorsement deal in place. Which is not confidence building. I received almost no instructions for use of the six (!!) products she prescribed. And then the "list." I see other patients complaining about this in other forums. Upon departure, I was presented with a sealed envelope (and an eye roll from the person handing it to me). This envelope contained three typewritten… pages explaining that she works too many hours because of both her patients and insurance companies, and, here's a list of what to do and what not do if I wish to remain a patient: No email - she doesn't answer email. If I leave a message it must be short and concise and I better have my phone handy when she calls back. The list just goes on and on. She's the only game in town with regard to this issue but sadly, I likely will never darken her doorstep again. She's just not worth the frustration and the demeaning nature of that "list" was the last straw.

I have been a patient of Dr.Minkin for 35 years.I have no other doctor I would go back to for that length of time.She is wonderful and always "on target".She gives several choices that other doctors should but do not.Recently she really helped me make a choice for bone density that did not include medication. Many years ago I had 2 children by C-section.Never a negative comment.This is not her style.

You may be a good doctor but what gives you a right to call all the women that have elected C-Sections Idiots??? Maybe you should watch what you say, you do not know me and you do not know what took for me to make that decision.

Dr. Minkin is a jewel! She has helped me tremendously over the years. I travel an hour and a half to see her.

I have been going to Dr. Minkin for almost 30 years. They delivered both my children. My children are grown, and now see the practice for my annual visit. Dr. Minkin always takes time to talk to you and see how your life is changing and how she can help with any medical problems.

I have been using Dr. Minkin as my ob/gyn for over 20 years and she is always on target for any diagnosis. Whenever she prescribes a treatmetn, she always gives optiions and listens to my concerns.
