Dr. Mary Ellen Mitchanis, MD

Dr. Mitchanis is wonderful. I looked for a new doctor because my last doctor, during a routine physical, told me we were out of time and I would have to make another appointment to finish talking. Dr. Mitchanis is just the opposite. She will not let a patient leave until they have all their questions/concerns answered. She is knowledgeable as well.

Iâ??m rather picky when it comes to choosing a doctor. I want someone who I can trust, someone who will listen to my needs, and someone who I feel comfortable explaining any problem to. I searched for a long time trying to find the right doctor for me before I first visited Dr. Mitchanis. Iâ??ve now had her as a physician for about 15 years. She has always spent time getting to understand my symptoms, to understand my needs, and she gives sound advice whether itâ??s what I want to hear or not. She is proactive in her approach to health care, and I've been impressed in that she goes out of her way to get to the root of my problems, and she follows through to make sure I'm getting the care I need and deserve.

I was very unhappy with her care. In dealing with serious headaches, she was not empathetic or kind. I was told to go see a pain specialist.

First time appt to establish as a new patient, she really took the time to listen, explain, and discuss a number of health related issues. Very insightful, knowledgeable, and easy to communicate with. I was very pleased with my experience overall.
