Our son was having seizures many times a day and we had been referred to a doctor at a famous center in San Diego supposedly known for being able to treat complicated cases. The doctor there had a couple week waiting list. When we looked into it we noticed that the place was in a bad part of town and not easily accessible. After more searching we found Dr. Maryanne and called her office. We were told by the receptionist that the knew the other doctor and he was qualified but Dr. Maryanne had previously worked at the office we were referred to and that she had trained the two doctor that worked there and basically taught him everything he knows. So we thought great lets go with the teacher and not the student. When we saw Dr. Maryanne she was nice enough but she did not seem we asked a lot of questions but she did not seem very knowledgeable. She was very indecisive. She appear very confident in her diagnosis or plan and sent us to a lot of other people nutritionists… optometrists etc. that were very expensive. She also recommended a lot of supplements. After six weeks of treatment our son was significantly worse. We than decided to see the doctor at the childrenâ??s center where we had originally been referred. He was very surprised when we had mentioned that he had been â??trained by Dr. Maryanne. â?? He told us that although she had not trained him, he had worked with her for 5 years and she was a good doctor. He said they had both trained under the same doctor. When he examined our child he immediately told us what was going on, made changes to his diet. He changed the supplements to only one and by the fourth treatment with this doctor my sonâ??s seizures had completely disappeared. We were thrilled. We called back Dr. Maryanneâ??s office and tried to get a refund on the unused supplements and we were told that she would not give refunds. When we told the secretary that we were going to the other doctor. She was rude. She further said the other doctor was incompetent and did not know what he was doing and this is why she stopped working with him. Yet before she had told us a completely different story. I was very disappointed and wanted nothing to do with that office or Dr Mary Anne.
