Summary
Dr. Mary O'Connor (or Dr. Mary as she likes to be called) is the 3rd youngest in a family of 7 children. She received her B.A. degree in biology from The University of San Diego in 1983 and her D.D.S. degree from Loyola University School of Dentistry in Chicago in 1987. She received her specialty certificate in Pediatric Dentistry in 1989 from Loyola and has practiced in San Diego since 1990. Dr. Mary is a Diplomate in the Academy of Pediatric Dentistry having earned that title in 1994 by completing several tests in Pediatric Dentistry.
Dr. Mary is on staff at Scripps Mercy Hospital, Children's Hospital and Health Center and Children's Cleft Lip and Palate Team.
She has been married since 1993 to her wonderful husband John who is a stay-at-home dad to twins Matthew and Patrick and their sister Emily. She feels the balance between her family and her profession allows her to be both a better mother and a better pediatric dentist.
