Dr. Mary Park, MD

Dr. Park and the entire team at her practice are truly the worst physicians I have ever encountered. I was having issues with my birth control and saw Dr. Park to inquire about a non hormonal IUD. She told me I needed one with hormones because my body “couldn’t handle not having hormones.” I’m still not sure where that diagnosis came from. She inserted the IUD incorrectly and cut the strings too short. I went for my one month follow up with a brand new, untrained and completely unprofessional nurse practitioner despite my appointment being with Dr. Park. This nurse told me that my IUD strings couldn’t be located and I needed emergency surgery. She then sent me to an imaging center who confirmed that was not the case. I immediately found a new doctor who upon inspection confirmed that Dr. Park inserted the IUD incorrectly and I now had to schedule a surgery to remove the IUD. This surgery can impact my fertility and my overall health and is completely because Dr. Park was not a… competent doctor and did not properly insert the IUD. I am HORRIFIED that her practice is allowed to continue operating and I urge anyone who cares about their health to steer clear.

I never had a great doctor as dr M. Park before. She has been a wonderful OBYN to me for the past 3,5 year and helped me to deliver my 2 boys into this world (i mean with God’s help). I never had easy pregnancies but during all this , she played a role as a doctor and a friend. It’s like she in your shoes, she understands your pain and that’s why she is one of the great doctors out there so thumbs up ?? for her. I wish to have her again ?????? as my OBGYN

I had initially seen Dr. Park prior to becoming pregnant and liked her very much. However, once I was pregnant, her open appointments conflicted with my schedule and I saw another dr. in her practice who was eh (he was pretty discouraging for an older mom even though everything was going well with me). I was excited when Dr. Park's schedule opened up and I made an appointment to see her. My last sonogram prior to seeing her revealed a rare but according to the sonogram specialist team, very manageable condition with mindful monitoring. While the amazing sonogram team at Lenox Hill MFM told me not to worry, they see such frequently and it often turns out to have no impact, but is something that general comes to positive outcomes with monitoring. Dr. Park on the other hand, vividly described the worst case scenario repeatedly saying still born is a possible outcome and then proceeded to google images to show me on her computer. I am still quite shocked at her unprofessionalism. I… am so grateful I left that practice group asap and found an amazing compassionate solo practitioner who has the lowest rate of c-sections at Lenox Hill. There is no way I was going to risk having such a scare tactic focused doctor like Dr. Park potentially deliver my baby!
