Dr. Mary Jean Pazos, MD

When our son was born at Baptist Hospital South Miami in 2017, Dr. Mary Pazos started doing many blood tests without telling us. When we inquired why all the blood draws were being done, she finally appeared and basically told us she could do whatever she wanted, and then proceeded to tell us how all these tests showed that he had inflammation somewhere in his body and that he should be admitted into the NICU right away to undergo 10 days of intravenous antibiotics. When my husband, an MD questioned her, she tried to tell us that we would have to sign an Against Medical Advice form, and that if we did that, our insurance wouldn't cover the cost of our stay in the hospital. So many lies. I've tried to forget what she did to us, and I'm thankful that we stopped her from going farther. Avoid her at all costs, especially if you are delivering at Baptist Hospital in South Miami. I tried to report her behavior to Baptist Hospital, but they didn't care. I am still so angry about what… happened.

Dr. Pazos was very thorough and reassuring in her care. She does not take short cuts and fully explains her suggestions when there are optional procedures. I fully trust her commitment to each patient and her medical knowledge. She does everything she can to provide the best outcome.

This Dr. is a circumciser. She circumcises healthy baby boys even without a mother's consent. I would not trust her with boys. If you have only daughters, you must do your own research.

She is one of the worst pediatricians ever her license should be suspended

She performed procedures which permanently disfigured my child and left him scarred emotionally and physically for life.

Why is this woman still allowed to look after sick babies?Are infants in NICU not under enough stress, without having unnecessary surgery performed on them?To make it worse, Pazos performed the surgery on the sick infant despite his parents having said repeatedly that it was NOT to be done!Pazos is either totally arrogant or incredibly stupid. In both cases, she is NOT the sort of person you want anywhere near your sick baby. Stay away from her, at all costs.

She might be a good doctor in some ways, but to whisk a newborn (Mario Viera) out of INTENSIVE CARE just to perform cosmetic surgery on the boy's genitals after the parents REPEATEDLY stated they did NOT want this unnecessary surgery shocks me! It would have been appalling to perform this surgery on a baby in intensive care even if the parents had actually requested it.In some European countries, she would have been arrested for this.The state licensing board has to review this case in depth and sanction her. I believe that revoking her medical license would be in order.

Can't read a circumcision informed consent form? :(

The world is shocked and saddened about your huge mistake of stealing a baby's foreskin without his or his parents consent. Actually, each baby you have circumcized ever, it was not with the human's consent whose foreskin you cut off and robbed him of. I call for your resignation. A well-educated "professional" should definitely know better. I also call for the removal of your labia and clitoris, with no anesthesia and no consent. Then you will get a taste of your own medicine, "Doctor."
