Dr. Mary Elizabeth Riley

In looking for a closer care practitioner, and wanting to support a local small business, I made a first appt. with Dr. Mary Bizzy Riley, ND in downtown Issaquah. Never in my 50+ years, and not even in the last two Covid years, have I been met with a less professional and small-minded doctor of any type. She greeted me with, “Please pinch your facemask over the bridge of your nose. If you can’t, we will not have you come back.” As I was bending the metal down gently over my nose, processing this rude and offensive statement, I asked, “Did you just say that if I don’t bend this down correctly that you won’t have me come back…?” She nodded affirmatively. I told her “No, thank you!” and turned toward the door. She literally threw her hands up in the air like a middle schooler, saying, “Fine! See you later!” I want to be clear. I am not angry with this person. I feel sorry for her, and others like her. I feel sad for our country. As we left, my 12-year-old son said, “Mom. The… most hilarious thing about it was the sign on the door that read ‘We Welcome Everyone’”. I cannot support this type of person or business.
