Dr. Mary Ruth Buchness, MD

Dr. Buchness herself was OK, even though she was not able to successfully diagnose me. This probably has to do with the fact that she never really actually examined my issue (I saw her twice for the same issue) or seem to care that I had one in the first place. However, her employees, especially her administrator, Dawn, take the cake when it comes to unprofessionalism. For one, I kept receiving bills because they mistakenly submitted a claim for my appointment to the wrong, outdated insurance (how does this happen when you literally hand them your insurance card?). I took care of their mistake by sorting this out with the insurance company, and then requested my medical records from her office. It has been almost 3 months now and I still have not been able to receive my medical records; instead, after following their explicit instructions in how to receive my medical records from their office, I've received no response, no assistance and extremely rude behavior from the… office employees. What prompted me to write this review today was hearing them say after they thought our call had ended before they hung up their side of the phone "hahaha i told I'd call their insurance company to check on the status" obviously implying that they wouldn't be doing so. Stay far far away!

I asked for a simple shave excision to remove a mole--I've had 3 removed from my face by a Kansas City doctor, with excellent results--you never would've known I'd even had a mole. Buchness shaved the mole on my cheek with a scalpel. I followed the post-procedure care instructions exactly, confident I'd have a great result, as I always did with the K.C. doctor. However, I was left with an ugly scar that looks like a big pockmark (about 4mm wide) on my cheek. I can see it from more than 3 feet away. Even my friend who has cataracts can see it! Deplorable. I would never let her touch me again. BTW, I thought there was a Harward Medical School diploma in her office. It wasn't mentioned in the bio. Big deal.

The doctor does not care about your disease and her office staff is so unprofessional with so much attitude, it's not even funny. She did not spend enough time to make a proper diagnosis and her follow up on my results was just poor. Don't go here if you want to be diagnosed and receive treatment. She only wants your money!

Dr. Buchness does not take her time to call back her patient to discuss the test results that have been done earlier. I've been called back by a nurse who at first told me the wrong results of the blood test and has given false advice. When I called back to ask to talk to the doctor to get the expert on the phone, they told me I'd have to make an appointment to have the doctor tell me the test results. Any other doctor that I have ever been to has taken the time to call in and discuss the results with me in person. I do not appreciate that about her. It took a lot of time to come in and try to find a diagnosis and when the results finally came back I still don't have a proper diagnosis because the doctor won't tell me the results if I don't come back in for an appointment and pay her money? That is just not right.
