Dr. Mary C Sams, MD

I’ve been seeing Dr. Sams for years. She is a good doctor. The problem is you CAN NOT get an appointment with her. Her staff doesn’t seem to give a flip either. I spoke to her medical assistant. She, in my opinion, is uncaring and unprofessional. It’s truly a shame. I guess Dr. Sams has too many patients now. I hope she does something about it soon; it’s so disappointing to have a good doctor your established with unavailable appointments. Totally ridiculous!

I couldn’t have asked for a better doctor..she is very sweet and always available and the response time is amazing. Her staff is as perfect and polite as the doctor herself. I simply love her and would recommend her to all the people I know.

She is without equal—super doctor and person. Deserves all stars in the galaxy.

Best internest I’ve ever been to I am in the medical field and appreciate Her expertise and compassion She is an excellent diagnostician And I have never had such good care Not sure what some of the complaints about office staff are The Northside office is a dream come true Friendly compassionate efficient I have never had to wait for more than 15 minutes to be seen One of the office staff was especially kind I had forgotten my phone one day And she took time to look up my next destination for me and print out directions She was very generous and let me use the office phone several times All the nurses lab staff and assistants are Wonderful too If I could give a 100 I would But I guess 5 will have to do

Terrific Doctor. Have seen her several times even at different offices. Her current office is VERY inefficient. You wait a long time to get in and the office staff acts like they don't even work there. If they say they will follow up they don't and if you call to follow up, they act like they have never heard. Even when reading the charts. If they have to find out an answer, it takes FOREVER!

I actually have changed to another PCP. I really liked Dr. Sams, even though if I had an urgent issue I could never see her, but rather one of her colleagues. I could at least still be seen. Her appointments were always booked up. 3 months for a physical; weeks for a medical issue. Office staff made several errors with my insurance over 3 years causing a lot of time and trouble on my part and it was difficult to get the errors fixed. Long waiting times. The final straw was when she changed her office location and I called to make an annual and was told it would be SIX months for an appointment despite my being an established patient.

Dr. Sams is wonderful. She really takes the time to listen to her patients. I have followed her around Atlanta for almost 15 years.

Dr Mary Sams is the best. Does anyone know where she is going?

May Sams, MD is an outstanding physician. Always voted by her peers at a "Top Doc", she is highly respected and loved by her patients. So sad that St. Josephs/Emory has fired her and her medical group because they were not making enough money for Emory. They are internists and work to keep patients healthy and out of the hospital. Shame on you Emory! Money is more important to you than quality of care.

Compassionate and thorough physician. Feel comfortable putting myself in her care.
