Dr. Mary St John Gay, MD

I was stupid, I admit. I am not from this area. I picked out her name from the internet. She had a 5 star rating. I have always had good experiences with psychiatrists so I was naive. I get to my appointment and I meet her. FYI it was $200.00. She would ask me questions and then not even give me time to answer. That has never happened to me before. I told her my history and she immediately got an attitude. She accused me of coming to her "for drugs." I have been on Klonopin for PTSD and panic attacks for 14-15 years. I am not drug seeking. I wanted help. Frankly, I am shocked she has a medical degree. Her questions were way of base and not those of a professional. She was irritable, rude and down right insulting to me. As I left, she told me to give her another chance after all I had been married 5 times. I was offended. My marital status had nothing to do with her. I came back once more and she was on the phone several times during our session. Again, she was cranky and abrupt. I did… not feel heard at all. No compassion. She writes me a script and tells me to come back in 2 weeks. All I can say is check her out. You'll be shocked. I wish I had of before I saw her.
