Dr. Mary Lynn Sullivan, MD

She walked in the room and said "How can I help you?" I was a first time patient, had never met her before. Didn't even introduce herself. She was rude throughout the visit, ignored several of my comments, and diagnosed me with something that does not make sense at all based on the symptoms. I tried to explain my symptoms and got cut off. After doing more research, there is no possible way her diagnosis was correct. My wife recently gave birth at Advocate, we were so impressed by all the care she received and how professional everyone was. I was shocked at how different this felt. I don't know if she was rude because I was dressed in shorts and a t-shirt, an HMO patient, or because I was honest with the nurse about my marijuana use, but it was clear she had written me off before I even spoke. If you have any choice at all about who you receive medical care from, do yourself a favor and find someone, anyone else. Mary Sullivan is not going to help you.

I found Her to be snobbish and very rude to deal with. She does not listen to the patient and does not seem to care about anything but sending her patients to other doctors instead of treating them herself. She just sits in a chair with her arms crossed and ignores what you try to tell her.

I was seen by Sullivan twice and those two times she was in the room with me for about 6 minutes. This made me feel like she did not really have any interest in what I was feeling. I felt my visit was pointless.

I visited Dr Sullivan this week for an issue. I found her to be very professional and thorough. She listened to my explanation of systems and asked questions to pinpoint my area of concern. Highly recommend Dr Sullivan.

I visited for the first time and felt really blown off by her. She also didn’t make me feel at ease and told me my blood pressure medication previously prescribed by my former doctor was specifically for black people and should work fine for me. I didn’t understand the need for her to specifically say that and it really rubbed me the wrong way. Super sad experience

She was very abrupt. She didn't spend any time trying to get to know me. I came prepared with a list of things to discuss since this was my first visit. She completely disregarded me and was very cold. Definitely will find another provider.

Looking to find a more caring and competent Doctor.

I have been seeing Dr. Sullivan for many years. I find her to be professional and caring. The office staff has always been friendly and easy to speak with.
