Dr. Mary Nistharani Tilak, MD

This medical practice rarely answers the phone. They encourage contacting them through their patient portal, which they don’t reply to questions a patient has, making it useless. I’ve had to drive to the office to make appointments. My copay is $15, but the couple of times I only had a $20 bull on me, they wouldn’t give me change. My insurance has been trying to contact them for several hours over several days concerning a prescription and they can’t get through or get a callback when they leave voicemails. They say they have never experienced this bad of a situation before. I’m now in need of a necessary prescription that I can’t get filled, and the consequences to my health are severe. When we have open enrollment to switch our medical practice choice, I’m going to do so on day one. They have made it impossible to leave bad reviews on their website and social media pages, so there is little disgruntled patients can do to warn others. Hands down, this practice is the worst I have ever… dealt with, and I’m old, so I’ve had experience with several different medical practices. If I could have left no stars I would have. If you value your health, go somewhere, ANYWHERE else!

I care for my elderly mother. The egregious lack of patient care we've experienced over the past years at this quack's office is unthinkable. Not only does the doctor pawn her patients off on incompetent rude nurses, she actually SCREAMED at us for having the audacity to ask to see the doctor herself. Dr. Tilak has my mom on so many meds that she now has heart & kidney failure, but was angrily offended when I questioned the number of & serious effects of prescribed meds. She refuses to try to solve root causes of illness & always goes straight to another new script for treatment. This has caused multiple new disease diagnoses over time. She claims that cysts & tumors are the same thing, obviously a lie. Her office staff & her nurse practitioners fail consistently to send refills to the pharmacy & never answer the phone or messages. If you're looking for a glorified drug dealer in mini skirt & stilettos who screams & causes deadly disease, then this is the doc for you, otherwise, RUN.

Run, don’t walk away from this medical practice! This is the most disorganized doctor’s office I have ever been to. I was supposed to have blood work done, I was told that I had to do it at their office and to just come in and they would be able to do it the day before my appointment. When I went in there was no record of any bloodwork that needed to be done, but they could do it based on what I had done over a year ago. I told them no, that I would like to have it done elsewhere, since last time the results never showed up. They were supposed to call me back that day, but never did. I called back the next day, and was again promised a call back, which never came. Today I called and they actually hung up on me ( I was not yelling, but was, again, asking for a call back with the requested information). This is just the most recent of many poor experiences with this office. I will NOT be returning to this practice, and if you have any health issues I recommend you going anywhere else but… here.

This practice is good if you have an issue they can write you a script for. If you are prevention seeking, this may not be the practice for you. They will listen but have few answers if you have question that deal with root cause or prevention. Test results are considered, only once they have reached the range that constitutes disease or malady. They basically let the problem fester until they can write you a prescription and this IS their answer to most everything. They are kind and polite but not for those who want to prevent disease just those who want to manage it.

I am struck by the negative comments from some patients and felt it necessary to give my own. I have been a patient for many years at Dr. Tilak’s office and have never had a complaint. Herr staff has always been very helpful, patient and kind. My nurse Practicianer for the last 4 or 5 yrs is Elizabeth Case and I think she is amazing. I have never waited more then a few minutes to see her. She is very thorough. I have never felt I have received anything but exceptional care. I would and have recommended this Physicians Office to many.

The office has no clue what is going on with patients. It's have a test, then 5 more with no results. Good luck seeing the Dr.. the staff doesn't last for more 3 months, and no follow up when a patient gets discharged from the ER. Comforting. Hope it's not your Mom. Thank you

Dr Tilak refuses to see her patients because she prioritizes meetings over patient care. When she does finally decided to see a patient, you can hear her discussing your case as soon as she leaves the room. They talk bad about the patients and she belittles her associates. She comes to work dressed as though she works in a brothel and is more concerned about herself rather than the patient. Don’t waste your time at this practice.

Dr. Tilak has provided for best care for my father. She listens to what his concerns are and is very empathetic. We are confident that her treatment plan will make a world of difference in the quality of life for my father.

I have been a patient for 4 years. Dr. Tilak is very thorough and spends quality time at each visit. The staff is friendly and the practioners spend quality time with each visit. The team is very good. Yes, at times the scheduled wait time is lengthy, but I feel it is because she and her staff spends more then 15 minutes with each patient as I have found that are Doctors who only allow 15 minutes. Very satisfied and I have highly recommend to others. Wanda Barnett
