I suffered from MDD. I cried all day and all night. Overwhelming thoughts consumed me. I couldn’t function. I would sleep for days not wanting to deal with my reality. I was referred to Dr Mary Ann Ty. My first meeting with Dr Ty, I told her my debilitating symptoms. We began with talk therapy. During the talk therapy she would assess my symptoms and introduced medications. It took many sessions of talk therapy and adjustment in my medications to finally find the right balance that would make me feel normal again. Dr Ty was always there with me, assuring me of my decisions and my unbearable anxieties. With Dr Ty’s guidance, her patience, her professionalism and her care, I am a brand new person. Dr Ty gave me back the confidence and life that I had lost and I am forever grateful.

I am so thankful to Dr. Ty for diagnosing my bipolar disorder and major depressive disorder. She helped me work through and conquer the memories and after effects of being abused growing up. It took a long time to get my medications right because my metabolism is unusual, but she never gave up on me. Finally, everything is great and I am forever in her debt.

Two incorrect diagnoses. Meds prescribed that were incompatible with an unrelated health issue of which she was well aware. More interested in pushing expensive and foul tasting vitamins as a side gig. In short, an expensive waste of time.

Dr. Ty is the first and only psychiatrist that has saved my life in many ways over many years. After a decade with Dr. Ty, she has been a master of my medication management. She listens. She cares. No other doctor in the time span of over 18 years since my first mental health diagnosis and treatment, has accurately diagnosed and treated me with first rate care. I may have to wait sometimes, but when she is with me, she gives her full attention. She cares about my life... And provides the highest quality treatment every psychiatric patient deserves. I owe her the best of me, because she has consistently given to me, the best of her. Her nursing and office team put patients first. A first rate doctor and a first rate team.

Dr. Ty is a very proactive doctor and a great person. She helped me to escape depression and social anxiety years ago and I'll be forever grateful. She always found immediate ways to support me and help even as I cycled through various medical plans and none. The phama industry is still changing not to be trusted however. I hope Dr. Ty will continue to expand other approaches (nutritional/ hormonal/electromagnetic) as drawbacks of of pharma are significant, including other health impacts like metabolic syndrome/ heart, major difficulties tapering medication, and huge expenses even for modified vitamin B12!

Pros: Is very understanding, caring, answers all my questions, and she provides the extra time if I need it. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Office is well organized, clean, unlike other doctors office that have too much cluster. Cons: Wait time is ridiculous. She does not start seeing patients until noon and even when taking the first appointment of the day, she is late. My time is valuable too and should not have to wait long. Does not accept insurance and her fees are too high.

I've been with Dr. Ty for 10 years and stay because she gives me plenty of time, is perceptive in the questions she asks, and is very kind. She is highly professional and ready to offer additional resources when needed.
