Dr. Mary Judith Wilkinson, MD

I began seeing Dr. Wilkinson when I was first diagnosed with breast cancer 5 1/2 years ago. Two years later I had a recurrence. Each time she laid out a plan of treatment and made it easy for me to understand what would be done and why. I was most grateful that she wrote things down as she explained them for me to take home and review later. Very helpful. I have the upmost confidence in her and her knowledge of what is happening in the field. I will miss her now that she is going to Johns Hopkins.

Dr Wilkinson has been the silver lining in my breast cancer journey. She is so knowledgeable and is up to date on breast cancer related studies. Her and her team have guided me every step of the journey. She reviewed my treatments personally and made recommendations that were tailored for my best outcome. I never doubted that I was receiving the best care possible.

I was referred to Dr. Wilkinson by a colleague of hers. She and her staff run a top notched facility. I was blessed to have been in her oractice. I wish her well at Johns Hopkins.

Dr Wilkinson is a godsend. She knows her field so well and is wonderful at explaining the complexities of a cancer diagnosis. She is so caring and easy to talk to. I have total faith in her and she has been an incredible guide through stage 4 cancer. I am indebted to her and appreciate her tremendously.

Dr. Wilkinson has been a Godsend to me. She is gentle, caring and compassionate and extremely capable and qualified. I would unconditionally recommend her. I have breast cancer that had spread to the liver but the chemo that Dr. Wilkinson prescribed in addition to her positive outlook has put the cancer in remission. She clearly outlined the plan of treatment and monitored me closely ever step of the way. When she examines me, I feel that I am receiving thorough and excellent care. I am so grateful for her and highly recommend her!

Dr. Wilkinson is the reason I was able to fight and tackle breast cancer with courage and strength. She gave me all the information and insights needed to be educated and was there to ensure that each day , week, and month we were balancing the science and wellness to recovery.

I was recently diagnosed with breast cancer and was quite distraught and afraid. My husband and I were overwhelmed initially with my cancer diagnosis. Dr. Wilkinson explained in detail my cancer and treatment plan. She also took it one step further by writing out everything so I would have notes to refer later just in case I forgot anything. She was thorough and listen to our concerns and also took her time. I never felt rushed during my appointments before my bilateral mastectomy and during the post-op appointments. Not only did she answer all my questions but also my husband’s questions, which made us feel better during each of my appointments. I had a tough time managing my pain after the mastectomy, Dr. Wilkinson personally called me at home to check up on me to see if I was doing. This is very rare that a physician calls a patient at home during their recovery. Dr. Wilkinson truly cares about her patients. I have only the utmost respect for Dr. Wilkinson and Claudia, the… Physician Assistant who works with her. Having Dr. Wilkinson as my oncologist is the best decision I made during this breast cancer journey.

I have been a patient of Dr. Wilkinson for the past 16 years. Besides being a wonderful oncolorist, Dr. Walkinson is also compassionate and empathetic in the delivery of care. She explains options and provides the time for the patient to ask questions. As a registered nurse, these attributes were very important to me when I was diagnosed with breast cancer.

She was a great doctor once,but as she got more recognition her quality of care and service went down. She was the worst doctor. I fully blame my mother’s death on her care.

She is not as caring and friendly as you expect an oncologist to be. When I asked about her unusual treatment plan and sequence of the chemo drugs she became very defensive and even insulting. Would not recommend her at all.
