Dr. Maryam Kompani Tabrizi, MD

I have seen Dr. Tabrizi twice. There won’t be a third time. I find her to be dismissive, argumentative, and generally unlikeable. Not qualities I want in a primary care physician. I don’t trust her. I don’t like her. I don’t recommend her.

This was by far the WORST doctor I have ever met. She made no time to hear my issues out. She simply came in the door and had her agenda and tried to leave on me three times. I am out of work and can't do my job because of health reasons and she didn't care at all. This was the third time I saw here and the last. Every visit she was really quick with me and out the door within five minutes. She would not talk to me or look at my lab work which had serious issues. Many things were out of the normal range and she didn't say anything about that to help fix it. So now I will continue to suffer until I can find a doctor who actually cares about the person and takes just a few more minutes to listen to them. All of her recommendations were nothing that would help me. She doesn't deserve to be practicing medicine and I hope no more people suffer like I have to.

I wonder if those positive reviews would be so positive by their 3 encounter with her? I would say, NO! If you're looking for compassion and concern, find another Dr. That's exactly what I did.

Came in as have been in extreme pain for two weeks. I'm 5'7" and weigh 195, work out 3-4times a week. Her immediate diagnoses? Your obese and need to lose 60 pounds (she is reading a BMI index paper). Went to another doctor the next day. Turns out I have PMR. Worst Doc visit ever.

Happy at Last!

First time seeing this "Doctor". She was susbstitute since my PCP is away, just to clear me for impending surgery. She was rude, abrupt, distracted, uncaring. Did several tests my surgeon didn't ask for, then refused to clear me because of certain medication I was taking (which my surgeon knew about and cleared me for already). Referred me to yet another doctor. Surgery had to be postponed because she overstepped and refused to clear me even though I passed physical and tests with flying colors. Would not communicate with me, found out from surgeon that she had asked for even more tests, that she didn't even mention to me.

Dr. Corwin appears anxious to leave from the minute she walks into the room. She never said hello, never expressed any interest in who this person with her was, cut off any questions and seemed irritated and angry. She actually called me Ma'am as in I am not a radiologist Ma'am when I asked what to do about an abnormal mammogram. She seemed not to even get that having an abnormal result would be a cause for concern for a patient. This woman has no business being a doctor if she can't express the least little bit of concern or warmth for the humans she's supposed to be serving. She just wanted to prescribe and schedule tests but has no interest in follow-up or finding the causes of problems. Communication is not her strong suit.

My visit with Dr. Corwin was bizarre to say the least. She was abrupt, seemed nervous and irritated, gave a good well woman exam and a very cursory physical exam, and then left me in the room without saying she would be back. After almost 10 minutes, I figured she wasn't coming back, so got up to leave. She came storming in the room and said in a loud voice, "You don't leave the room until the doctor tells you you can go!" After saying to her three times, "We need to all calm down here" in order to end her tirade, I was finally able to leave. Two days later, I got a call from her medical assistant saying, "Dr. Corwin would like you to get a colonoscopy." I thought (I'll bet she does!) and said, "Is it Dr. Corwin's policy to order a colonoscopy without first consulting with the patient to find out when their last one was?" Mine was 5 years ago, and I have a letter stating I don't need another one for another 5 years. Not only is Dr. Corwin unprofessional, she is incompetent.
