Dr. Maryann Sandy, MD

Short version: Dr. Sandy=5 stars so far; Front office=2 stars I have multiple chronic illnesses and take multiple medications. My beloved physician retired so I had the daunting task of finding another which would be brave enough to take me. I need a physician who can harmonize the care between all the different specialists and see the *whole* picture (as specialists get only a piece). After months of searching online, with sites such as this one, I found Dr. Sandy. The reviews for the facility and other physicians at the facility were not good, so I almost passed her by; except, my daughter, who was a caregiver for the elderly at the time, had taken one of her clients to Dr. Sandy. My daughter thought Dr. Sandy would be a good fit for me. Granted, the front office doesn't like to answer the phone: I have sat on hold several times for a 10 minutes or more, and have had to call back multiple times before the phone is answered. Once I even called another location so I could be… transferred to the Bee Cave location. Dr. Sandy, though, seems to be worth the effort. Not only did she accept me as a new patient, she was actually knowledgeable about my rare genetic condition! Dr. Sandy *listened* to me. She actually looked at the information I presented to her. She even stated she was going to do further research regarding my condition. I cannot trust a physician who thinks s/he knows everything! If Dr. Sandy doesn't know, she doesn't try to cover it up, she will say, "I don't know, but I'll find out." I love her honesty and willingness to continue to learn. I appreciate a physician who is willing to spend a few minutes extra with patients like me. However, I also understand other patients are waiting as well. So I will state my second visit was also good, though we couldn't cover everything I wanted because of time restrictions. My third visit is soon and we will be creating a schedule which will (hopefully) successfully address my chronic issues without impinging on other patient's time. So far, I believe Dr. Sandy is likely to be a good fit for me. I'll post another review, or update this one, after some time has passed.

Visit with Dr Sandy and staff was welcoming and professional in great facility!
