Dr. Maryanne Desantis, MD

Rude , detached from the patient. She spends 10 minutes with you and gets annoyed if you ask too many questions. If you miss a call and you call her back right away she won’t respond and drop you as a patient. She doesn’t care about her patients.

She should be the one on medication

I have a hard time trusting her input and recommendations due to her forgetfulness and the amount of information she gets mixed up. In my eyes she seems to be a firm believer that depression in adolescence is purely teenage angst or that any parental conflict must be due to stereotypical teenage rebellion. I could go as far to say it’s belittling but I don’t expect much from people at Stress Care. I won’t say this happens too often but every now and then it seems to me like she just backs up some of her statements with psychobabble Despite giving her one star, I don’t believe she’s the worst psychiatrist I’ve ever had, I just question her competency a lot.

She is simply a terrible psychiatrist. She works in an office that functions in almost a factory-like manner (in and out in five minutes after a long delay), she often gets my name wrong, forgets things we’ve discussed as recently as our last appointment, is generally unfriendly, and prescribes me absurd amounts of Xanax that I tell her I don’t need a refill on (since I use it as needed for anxiety). Also, there is no ability to get a prescription for more than 30 days from her (which ruins mail-away prescription programs) and if you have to cancel or reschedule, you could potentially run out of your meds and be screwed. This is a TERRIBLE doctor to see for help.
