Dr. Marybeth Durkin

Whoever wrote the review for June 2018 is entitled to their opinion but so am I. I was seen by this doctor on August 29, 2024. She was very thorough and skilled with knowledge as a physician. I had been battling an upper respiratory infection for three weeks and she conducted a thorough exam, reviewed my previous hospital visits and medications. She ordered a new chest X-ray and when I went to go she assisted me personally, first to my car to drop off a heavy bag I was carrying and then directly to the X-ray department. After the X-ray she brought the image up on the screen and proceeded to explain everything I was looking at. Most importantly, this physician explained how and why my symptoms persisted instead of just telling me it will take more time to heal. This woman is a credit to her profession and all the veterans she serves.

This individual is moderately competent from a technical standpoint, but has the personality of a mashed potato and the disposition of a scalded cat. If you are severely cut, or having chest pain, she might keep you alive for a while, but if you have an urgent issue that can wait until her shift ends, I suggest waiting for the next physician.
