Kaiser Permanente provides patients with an outstanding quality of care. Keeping people healthy is important to us. The fact that Kaiser Permanente’s health care system is integrated is a fantastic benefit for our patients. Patients are able to communicate easily and directly with their primary care physicians. They may schedule appointments, refill prescriptions, and obtain lab results on our Web site.

My colleagues in the Emergency Department and the Medical Center feel like family. I work with a diverse spectrum of staff and clinicians. We are all truly supportive of one another, and we favor a very democratic approach to our decisions. We also stay on top of the latest developments and technology in emergency medicine.

San Francisco is a beautiful city. I don’t think I’ll ever leave! Not only does the city provide a diverse mix of patients at the medical center, but it offers a wealth of activities as well. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my twin sons and …husband, road and mountain biking, skiing, snowboarding, learning to play guitar, and listening to live music. I come from a family of eight, and we are all very close. I also love spending time with friends.

I THRIVE in a number of ways. I exercise every day, and always opt for the stairs over the elevator when I’m at work. I frequent farmers’ markets, I try to get as much sleep as possible, and I remember to appreciate all that I have.
