Dr. Clare McCarthy is a board-certified, fellowship-trained orthopedic hand surgeon. Her goal is to work in partnership with each patient, engaging them in their care and getting them back to their activity level as soon as possible. Dr. McCarthy has performed over a thousand endoscopic carpal tunnel surgeries. Her practice also includes joint replacement for the wrist, fingers and the base of the thumb, which has been the focus of her research. She is a member of the American Society for Surgery of the Hand and the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons.

My doctor made me feel seen, and that's a totally foreign concept. Bravo!! The corticosteroid shots put my hands out of commission for about a day & , but I don't cry while washing the dishes now!

Physican was excellent. She reviewed my hand xrays with me showing me the difference between right and left thump. Explained the cause of my pain in much more detail than previous hand orthopedist. She was also friendly and personable.

Dr. Mccarthy was extremely caring and personable, and she did an incredible job fixing my wrist in surgery! I would definitely recommend her to others. Thank you Dr. Mccarthy!!

Dr Mccarthy was quick to figure out what my issue was and gave me the treatment that has started to help improve my issue. If this issue persists I will be back to see her. She and her assistant were prompt and helpful. Each day has shown improvement toward recovery.

After seeing my Primary Physician over the last year with ongoing issues, he referred me to Dr. McCarthy. Dr. McCarthy did an excellent job in reviewing my xrays and explaining my options. She also took the time to discuss another issues and said that I should be concerned at this time and options for the future. I would recommend her for care and treatment.

I couldn't believe it when I heard Dr Mccarthy say that I needed surgery and it was on a Sunday night. Most doctors won't even talk to you on a Sunday. Because the surgery was done right away, it was successful and I am nearly fully recovered. I would recommend Dr Mccarthy and the physical therapists at TCO especially if it involved hand surgery. Gary

Dr. McCarthy first operated on my Dupuytren's Contracture some 30 years ago. When it reared its ugly head a few years ago, I was relieved to "refind" her. She is, in my opinion, top notch. Straight-forward. A Dupuytren's expert. She just operated a second time on my finger. And, while I hope this is the last time that finger needs to be straightened, if it does, hopefully Dr. McCarthy will still be available.
